Just after the U.S.-ASEAN special summit, the United States has immediately arranged Biden's first "Asian trip" after taking office. Biden is expected to visit Japan and South Korea from May 20 to 24. During its visit to Japan, the United States also plans to convene a "four-way security dialogue between the United States, Japan, India, and Australia."

The United States has not yet announced the detailed plan of Biden's Asian trip, but the Taiwan media has been unable to contain the excitement, and on May 14, a copy of the letter was posted: Nine US Republican house members of the House of Representatives wrote a joint document to encourage Biden to add a bit of a ride in the Asian tour and "by the way" to Taiwan Province.
How to say this. A clear sign is that the Biden administration's desire to play the "Taiwan card" is getting stronger and stronger. Recently, the United States is a bit back, in April, the speaker of the US House of Representatives Pelosi announced that he would visit Taiwan Province, and as a result, people were diagnosed without going, and finally the trip was naturally canceled. Immediately afterward, US Secretary of State Blinken let out a speech claiming that he was going to give some speech on China policy, and the result was the same situation, and before he could say anything, the whole person was positive.
Now, finally, it's Biden's turn to face this metaphysical test. It's exciting to think about.
The epidemic in Taiwan Province is now very serious, their nucleic acid antigen detection capacity is so low, on May 14 alone, the number of new confirmed cases exceeded 60,000, and the population size of Taiwan Province is about 22 million. In this regard, the US Republican lawmakers also encouraged Biden to "pass by" to go to Taiwan Province, and they did not know what great deficiencies Biden had accumulated before. So, personally, out of the basic humanitarian spirit, I think Biden should still prepare in advance, after all, this is the age, just in case, right?
Small talk is here, next, let's talk about something serious. The United States is now so dense, so urgent, so crazy want to play the "Taiwan card", want to play the "sausage cutting" tactics, we can actually dig out a lot of interesting things from it:
First, both in words and in action, the United States is actively seeking friction and even conflict with China. Judging from the current situation in Russia and Ukraine or the historical experience of dealing with Russia in the process of NATO's eastward expansion, the United States has obviously eaten sweetness on these issues. Therefore, the United States now hopes to follow the law and provoke the Chinese mainland by playing the "Taiwan card." At that time, the United States will not directly intervene in the situation in the Taiwan Strait, because what they want most is nothing more than to find a second Ukraine Chinese mainland the periphery.
Second, as far as the current performance of China and the United States on the table is concerned, the United States does not care too much about China's relevant countermeasures. In other words, the red line we draw in China is not enough to deter the United States. The last time Pelosi announced that she was going to visit Taiwan Province, it was actually a good opportunity to draw a line. As a result, the old lady did not give us this opportunity in the end, and she came to the "yang". If she is really yang, she will not say anything; but what if she is pretending to be yang? That means we've succeeded in drawing the line.
Third, no matter what, we still have to find a way to deter the DPP authorities in Taiwan Province, and it is certainly not enough to have a little economic countermeasures.
Fourth, in addition to Taiwan Province, the other potential "Asian Ukraines" that the United States is looking for are most likely Japan, South Korea and the Philippines. Japan and South Korea's economy is relatively stable, relatively good, but the Philippines is dangerous, now that the Philippine election is over, Marcos Jr. has won, and the United States immediately launched a public opinion propaganda machine to throw and roll, splashing Marcos on a red paint, saying that the Philippine election is actually China's victory, and Marcos Jr. is pro-China. What the United States is doing, to put it bluntly, is public opinion guidance and cognitive warfare. When the United States launches "color revolutions," it usually likes to pick countries that are fragile and have a large number of pro-American forces. The economic situation in the Philippines is not very good, the society is not particularly stable, and there are many pro-American factions in the country, so the risk is not small.
In addition to the above, I personally believe that the most important thing for China is to do our own thing. We have had a lot of difficulties this year, but the situation is much better than in March and April. In the second half of the year, we must refuel and make up for the backwardness.
The competition between China and the United States must be a marathon, and the most important thing about long-distance running is to control the pace and breathing, and the speed of the picture will disrupt the rhythm. The little tricks that Americans play in sprinting and sprint relays are useless in marathon events. On the long track of the rise and fall of civilization, our Chinese nation has been running for five thousand years, and there are countless powerful hegemons who have survived in the middle. We welcome the United States as one of them.
