At present, more than 20,000 Chinese live in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, mainly in Kisangani and Koluvezi in Lubumbashi and the surrounding areas, and there are about 400-500 people living in the Chinese in the capital Kinshasa.
The largest and largest investment of Chinese companies in the DRC is mining, with more than 40 Chinese mining companies. Among them, large-scale Chinese-funded mining enterprises include the Tengkaifeng Gurumei copper and cobalt mine project invested by Luoyang Molybdenum, Musso noi Mining co-ordinate mining controlled by Huagang Mining and Zijin Mining, Dizwa Mining invested by China Nonferrous Metals Group, etc., and large Sino-foreign joint venture mining enterprises include Glencore and Eurasian Resources.
The main investment projects are mining, mining and smelting, cement production, chemical industry, wood processing and other industries.
Trade items include clothing, building materials, metal building materials, furniture, home appliances, mobile phones and accessories, hardware, lamps, stationery, plastic products, automobiles and auto parts, electrical appliances and other wholesale.
Chinese currently operates in the Dr. Congo: supermarkets, hotels, inns, restaurants, vegetable farms, etc.
In large Chinese-funded enterprises in the DRC, mining engineers earn about 20,000-30,000 yuan a month, while mining engineers in private companies earn about 15,000-25,000 yuan per month. The mining duty chief is about 15,000-20,000 yuan.
In Chinese-funded enterprises Chinese wages are generally about 1.5 to 2 times higher than those of the same position in China.
The distance between Kinshasa and Lubumbashi is 2,300 km, separated by a primeval forested mountain range that has fallen into disrepair and is no longer open to traffic. So the Dr. Congo is actually divided into two regions, one is the region centered on the capital Kinshasa, and the other is the region centered on Lubumbashi.
Goods enter and leave Kinshasa are transported through the seaport of Kinshasa, while minerals exported and imported goods from Lubumbashi pass through two international routes, the first blue route Lubumbashi - Zambia's capital Lusaka - Tanzania Dar es Salaam outlet, and the other red route Lubumbashi - Zambia's capital Lusaka - Zimbabwe 's capital Harare - South Africa's Durban.

In addition, the two areas of Kinshasa and Lubumbashi are not transported by road, and they go to their respective ports, while the movement of people is achieved by air.

Lubumbashi is the second largest city with a population of 2.09 million and is known as the MINING CENTER OF THE CONGO. Zambia is only more than 20 kilometers away and the surrounding area is rich in mineral resources.
The Democratic Republic of the Congo, referred to as the Democratic Republic of the Congo, is located in central Africa and is known as the "heart of Africa". Due to years of war and the intensification of poverty in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, social security problems have become more prominent. Therefore, do not go out at night in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, pay attention to lock the door when driving, close the window, and try not to stop on the way.
African countries generally have low integrity, and there are also a small number of Chinese fraud Chinese, so we must be cautious about investing and trading in Africa. In the Dr. Chinese of the Dr. Congo fraud cases are frequent, pay attention to prevention.
The Dr. Congo has foreign exchange controls, but is generally looser. Local people generally use US dollars to settle their bills, go to supermarkets to settle accounts in US dollars, and supermarkets will also use US dollars to find you change.
The main categories of China's exports to the DRC include mechanical and electrical products, high-tech products, textiles, steel, automobiles and footwear products, etc.; the main categories of imported commodities include unwrought copper, logs, copper ore sands and their concentrates and natural latex.
In 2021, the total value of China's exports to the Dr. Kinmen was US$275731 million, an increase of US$744.17 million or 36.9% year-on-year compared with the same period in 2020; the total value of China's imports from the DRC was US$1163503 million, an increase of US$460439 million compared with the same period in 2020, an increase of 64.3% year-on-year.
In 2021, the DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC of the Congo has a GDP of 57.1 billion US dollars and a per capita GDP of 609 US dollars, making it one of the least developed countries in the world.
Local construction workers in the DRC earn about $180 a month, while electricians, carpenters, bricklayers, etc. earn about $260 a month
