According to GMW3, the PC adventure game "Medieval Dynasty", developed by Polish game studio Spectrum Games, is being remade in VR.
Spectral Games revealed that the VR version of "Medieval Dynasty" will be available on Meta Quest 2, Steam and PSVR 2 platforms. Released on Steam last September, Medieval Dynasty received "very positive" reviews from players, as they will be immersed in a medieval world where they will need to quickly build settlements and find food, crafting tools and weapons in order to survive, featuring an open mode full of realistic mechanics, seasonal weather and day/night cycles.
Spectral Games said that the studio will not fully port the "Medieval Dynasty" PC version, but will create a new adventure content based on the medieval dynasty IP to create a VR version that focuses on VR interaction, so players will have to slash trees with their own axes.
"The VR version of Medieval Dynasty is a brand new adventure game with new heroes and a new worldview, but we have retained the essence of the medieval theme and will not overthrow the original basic framework of the game, instead, we have placed more emphasis on medieval elements to facilitate VR interaction among players."
Regarding the game development process, the development team added: "We have completed the concept and pre-production phases, we have also reached a key production phase task including part of the main game map, and managed to optimize the game graphics to fit the Meta Quest platform. ”
Medieval Dynasty plans to launch Quest 2 in the first quarter of 2023, followed by a PC VR version, after which the team will focus on "Medieval Dynasty" PSVR 2.
