"Breaking into the Kanto" seems to be the exclusive use of Shandong people. At that time, a TV series "Breaking into The Guandong" presented the story of the Shandong Zhu Kaishan family being forced by life to leave their hometown and "break into the Guandong" in front of the audience.
The industrious spirit, pioneering spirit, selfless spirit and self-improvement spirit of those who "broke into the Guandong" are undoubtedly derived from the thick culture accumulated by the Chinese nation for thousands of years of history. Zhu Kaishan's family is just a typical microcosm of this group.
During this year's May Day Golden Week, in addition to serving my bedridden father, I would go around the nearby PipaWan Park every day. At about 9 a.m. this day, after walking around, I felt a little hot and a little tired, so I sat down on a long stone bench on the south side of the park's east entrance and prepared to rest for a while. At this time, the sun was not high enough, and the shade of the trees was just covering the stone bench, and the breeze was blowing, which was very pleasant.
Coincidentally, on this side, although there are three stone benches, only I am alone, and there are also three stone benches on the opposite side, and there is only one male old man sitting. It seems that there are between 60 and 70 years old, although there are some wrinkles on the face, but the face is rosy, full of spirit, and looks like a person who has made great efforts in the early years. I suspect that he is either an old man after the demolition of a village in the city, or an old man from the countryside who lives in the city's children. Curious, I leaned over and talked to the old man. Unexpectedly, the old man turned out to be 81 years old, and he was also a "phoenix nester" who "broke into the Kanto" and lived in the "Lake Garden" near the park.
After introducing himself, the old man let down his guard, opened the conversation box, and talked to me about his experience of "breaking into kanto".
The old man's name is Yao Guangrong, a native of Laoguanzhuang Village, Wangfenglou Town, Pingyuan County, Shandong Province, born in April 1942.
Laoguanzhuang Village is an ancient village founded in the early Ming Dynasty, and in the early years there was an official road passing through the village. Once, when an official was passing by this place, a woman stopped the road and shouted injustice, the official did not want to accept it, and the grumpy village woman forcibly dragged the official out of the palanquin. Officials have never seen such a small people who ignore officials, and they can't help but sigh: "What a powerful old woman." Since then, the village has been known as "Wife Village" and later renamed Laoguanzhuang.
Yao Guangrong's family is a multi-child family. The parents gave birth to 6 boys, 2 women and 8 children, Yao Guangrong was three, and he had two older brothers before. For the sake of the family's livelihood, in 1951, his father Yao Ruxue went to the northeast to work in Jiamusigan, Heilongjiang, to "go out of the river".
It can be seen from the words that "out of the river" is to come out of the river, and out is not people, but wood. In those years, productivity was very low, and the wood cut from the mountains was bundled into wooden rows, which drifted downstream along the natural flow of the river. The distance is short three or four days to reach the destination, and it takes more than a week to arrive. Depending on the size of the wooden row, 6 or 8 people are in a group of 8 people, responsible for the downward movement of the wooden row. On top of the wooden steaks, it is possible to cook and rest. After arriving at the destination, the wooden rows are connected to the fixed objects on the shore by rope, and then, one by one, everyone works together to fish the wood from the river to the shore and pile it up to the shore, which is considered to complete the task of "going out of the river".
It's a heavy physical job, but it's also a seasonal job, and after the rivers are frozen, you can't do it anymore.
The physical strength and sweat of "going out of the river" can earn 1 million old coins a month, and according to the price level at that time, a person's living expenses for a month are generally 60,000 or 70,000 old coins, and they can often eat meat. Therefore, the father's efforts and gains are of great benefit to this multi-child family.
Because his father was in the northeast, in 1958, at the age of 17, Yao Guangrong also followed his father's footsteps and went to the northeast. First, he went to Harbin, and with the help of an uncle in the courtyard, he left his hukou in Harbin and continued to study there.
Yao Guangrong is a smart child, has a special love for reading, and his academic performance is good. Two years later, he was escorted to Harbin No. 20 Middle School. It was at this time that, due to the pressure on the urban population, the state implemented a decentralization policy to reduce the urban population. At the same time, Teacher Wang Zuozhou, who has always been in love with him, also pushed his heart and said to him: "You see you, you have been living in the courtyard of your uncle's house, it is not a long law, you are not small, I will help you find a good job." ”
Therefore, in 1960, Yao Guangrong moved his hukou to the BaolinHe Forest Farm in Tonghe County, Harbin, and worked as a logger for 3 years. Because the logging task of the Paulin River Forest Farm was not completed well, it was squeezed away by a well-run forest farm, and the superiors let them build a new farm, so the employees complained upwards, and finally after getting a little affirmation, they still twisted their arms and thighs, and continued to let them build a new forest farm.
In 1973, Yao Guangrong went to Fuxiang Forest Farm. It's a forest farm with a story. There was once a natural ginseng tree with 7 seedlings and 1.2 pounds of sinking. Seven two for ginseng, eight two for treasure, this 1 pound of adult ginseng is really a rare treasure. It is said that the government acquired it as an export commodity in exchange for foreign exchange, and also gave major rewards to the county, and the county leaders were also promoted.
Later, Yao Guangrong went to the Crow Bubble Forest Farm in Tonghe and became a regular worker in 1977.
"Crow Bubble" is a quirky name. Yao Guangrong told me about the legend of the crow bubble:
Once upon a time, a prince with 4 retinues rode to the songhua river in the south to hunt, and encountered a group of enemies, and the arrows on his body had been shot. Undaunted, the prince slashed down several enemies with his sword, rushed out of the siege, fiercely added a whip, and jumped on horseback into a mighty river. The prince's horse was a white dragon horse, running fast and watery, and by the time the enemy reached the river, the prince had already swum to the center of the river. Enemy arrows rained down on him. Suddenly, an arrow was shot in the prince's leg, causing him to fall from his horse into the river, and the white horse swam westward with its head held high, dragging the prince in its tail so that the prince would not drown. After landing ashore, the white dragon horse ran out of the seven seven forty-nine miles in one breath, passing a mud puddle, which startled a group of crows, and the crows covered the prince and were not discovered by the enemy. The prince's mother, who found the sword of the white dragon horse and her son, sent out people and horses, and found the prince who fainted in the mud. After another seven days and forty-nine days, the prince's arrow wound was healed, so he personally wrote three big characters of "Crow Bubble", which were carved on the stone tablet and stood in the place where the crow had saved him.
With the passage of time, Yao Guangrong witnessed all kinds of utensils in the forest farm, starting with a big belly saw, then a bent saw, and then a chain saw driven by a generator.
Because of his smart and practical mind, Yao Guangrong learned everything quickly, and in 1970 he learned to drive a "50" special tractor in the forest area. This kind of machine has a front and back operating lever, hydraulics, landing large belt plate, winch machine, and oil wire rope. Generally a group of 4 people, he is the driver, the rest of the people as assistants. Because Yao Guangrong was a kind person, calm and calm to his assistants, he was very respectful, and he won the hearts of the people, and everyone was willing to do it with him.
Later, due to the increasing decline of the forest farm operation, Yao Guangrong no longer drove a tractor, but was responsible for repairing the car. In the end, the field was yellow, and he was responsible for taking care of the generator.
The forest farms are all in the mountains, and the logging work is seasonal. As for income, after 1960, the timekeeping system was implemented, and there was no fixed working hours, which generally acted according to the orders of the secretary and the field director. $2.26 a day and sixty-seven dollars a month.
With the depression of the forest farm, at the age of 52, Yao Guangrong retired. Since most of the 5 children are in Pingyuan County, after spending decades in the northeast, he also came to a "phoenix nest" and returned to his hometown to settle down. In 2017, the children bought the couple a house in Lakeside Gardens. With the continuous growth of wages, Lao Yao's salary also got 3500 yuan.
Finally, I asked Lao Yao what his feelings were, and he said: "I have eaten and drunk, although it is not much, I am also very satisfied; also, the children are also filial piety, and my body is still healthy, so I must enjoy my life now!" ”
