This morning, the fifth session of the Fifteenth People's Congress of Shanghai Municipality held a plenary meeting, and Liu Xiaoyun, president of the Shanghai Municipal High People's Court, delivered a "Report on the Work of the Shanghai Higher People's Court."

Liu Xiaoyun said: The Shanghai court has persisted in "breaking the net with orders," severely punished public employees for crimes involving criminal syndicates and evil forces, and tried according to law cases such as Bribery, embezzlement, shielding, and connivance of mafia-type organizations, which showed their determination to crack down on "umbrellas." Closely following the "fight against money and blood", a total of 420 million yuan of fines and confiscation of property were imposed. The 194 clues transferred by the Central Supervision Group to the Supervision Committee and 63 clues related to criminal syndicates and vices handed over and transferred by other departments have all been verified and reported according to the requirements.
