According to the Brazilian news website, on April 30, local time, a 42-year-old Brazilian mercenary shared his tragic experience as a volunteer in Ukraine on social media.
In these days on the front line, mercenaries including him suffered from poor food and the spread of the new crown, and some people could not help but shoot themselves, and even did not step into the battlefield. In the eyes of the mercenary, the organization is already crumbling, and perhaps they cannot win the war!
The Brazilian mercenary, named Fabio Junio di Oliveira, entered Ukraine from the Polish border on April 16 and was subsequently assigned to a training camp for pre-war training. He came to the camp with 60 soldiers, some speaking Spanish, some speaking English, and depending on the language they were divided into two platoons, Fabio Junior was assigned to the English speaking platoon.

I thought they would be able to train as soon as possible after a simple grouping, after all, the war on the Ukrainian front was scorching, and they were desperately needing these mercenaries to fight. But something happened during this time that almost caused Fabio Junior to be sent home. The reason was the Brazilian president's refusal to criticize Russia in the international community, which led Ukraine to believe that Brazil was politically biased, and even the Brazilian mercenaries with them were almost repatriated.
Fabio Junior later recalled that the repatriated man was lucky at that time, but unfortunately he failed to catch up. Due to the unfavorable war on the front line, the Ukrainian military eventually relaxed the application for mercenary volunteers, allowing Brazilians to enter the war. After several arguments, Fabio Junio and the other Brazilian players were finally left behind, and they will soon be sent to the battlefield as long as they devote themselves to training.
But in reality, this so-called training ground is no different from hell. Fabio Junior shared on social media that his life at the boot camp was almost day and night, with rifle shooting, moving vehicle shooting, dodging air raids, obstacle courses, and sometimes they could only rest for 4 hours a day before they had to stop on the next training mission. And since the training is conducted in small groups, there is no possibility of their absence at all.
Not directly proportional to high-intensity training, their daily supplies are simply pitiful. Fabio Junior recalls that he could only take a shower twice a week during the camp, and that it was only when the shower truck came. In terms of food, the training camp strictly controlled the number, and the food distributed did not satisfy the mercenaries' appetite, let alone provide sufficient energy for their high-intensity training.
In terms of weapons and equipment, the body armor they wear is like a piece of cardboard, at first Fabio Junior thought it was just equipment for training, but later learned that even if they went to the battlefield, they could only wear this kind of body armor. Under high pressure, many mercenaries were overwhelmed with the desire to flee, and even one night Fabio Jungnol heard a burst of gunfire, which was a Polish mercenary who had committed suicide with a training bullet.
Fabio Junyor said in front of the media that he knew the severity of the war on the front lines, although the training was unusually hard. Recently, many people in the training camp have been infected with the new crown, and if they continue like this, they will not have to go to the battlefield at all, and everyone's life will be in danger.
The psychological defenses of the mercenaries, who had originally come here with the dream of defending Ukraine's sovereignty and resisting Russian aggression, knew the brutality of the battlefield that it would be very difficult to help Ukraine win the war. At present, the Russo-Ukrainian war is still in a state of anxiety, neither side has any intention of ceasefire, the Russian army has intensified its air raids on the eastern and southern regions of Ukraine, and the Azov Steel Plant is still under siege. Although some of the mercenaries had become resistant and wanted to leave this land of disaster, the situation of the war had developed beyond their original ideas, and perhaps many of them had to stay here forever.
