Albinism is a genetic disorder in which animals (or people) are born without melanin made by pigment cells. Animals with albinism do not produce enough melanin in their bodies, which causes their skin or scales to turn completely white.
Some albinos animals don't look good, while others look very beautiful and unusual. Here we introduce you to 9 beautiful and cute albino animals.
01. Albino panda
In 2019, the first albino panda was found in the mainland Sichuan, which was the first albino panda found in the wild, and it became the protagonist of the news almost at the same time as it was discovered.
Pandas are famous for their black and white colors, and you might think that the albino panda looks like a white polar bear, but in fact it is clear from the shape and size of the animal that it is definitely a panda. It's unclear as of now whether there will be more albino pandas in the wild, but that's unlikely because the global wild panda population is not large.

02. Pink Dolphin
Pinky dolphin is a Bottlenose Dolphin from Louisiana, USA, suffering from albinism. However, although it is albinism, its albinism is reflected in pink.
Pinky was first spotted in June 2007, and a few years later a video was captured showing two pink albino dolphins swimming in the lake, presumably Pinky and her cubs.
03. Long white neck
The appearance of giraffes is already strange among the terrestrial creatures of the earth, and it is even more special with albinism. The white giraffes in the picture still have obvious spots, but several other giraffes with albinism found over the years have completely white skin and show no signs of any other color.
04.Migaloo (Humpback Whale)
This is the only known albino humpback whale. The whale has been studied and tracked since it was first spotted in Australia in 1991. Of the nearly 35,000 humpback whales that live off the east coast of Australia, Migaloo is the only humpback whale with albinism.
Migaloo last appeared in public in June 2014, off the coast of Cape Byron, Australia. It has been gone since then, most likely dead.
05. Snowflakes (Gorilla)
Snowflake gorillas lived in a zoo in Barcelona from 1966 until their deaths in 2003. It is a western lowland gorilla suffering from albinism and was arrested in Equatorial Guinea in 1966. During their time at the Barcelona Zoo, snowflakes gave birth to 22 offspring, but only six of them survived to adulthood. Albinism itself is not a concern, but it is often accompanied by genetic defects that can cause health problems in other parts of the animal's body. Some of these defects have been passed on to snowflake offspring, greatly reducing their chances of survival as adults.
06. Snowdrops (Penguins)
Penguin Snowdrops live in a zoo in Bristol, England. Its albinism did not affect its acceptance by other penguins in the zoo. Snowdrop lives happily ever after with her penguin companions at the zoo.
07.Onya Birri (Albino Koala)
Onya Birri was born in 1977 at the San Diego Zoo, whose name means "ghost boy" in the Aboriginal language. While it is possible for any animal to be born with albinism, Onya-Birri is the only albino koala that people have ever seen.
08. Jackie (Jackdaw)
For some time many people who saw the bird were convinced that it was just a seagull. However, upon closer inspection it was revealed that it was actually a jackdaw with albinism. It was found in South Wales and named "Jackie" by locals and the scientists who studied him.
09. Claude (Crocodile)
Born on September 15, 1995, Claude is now 27 years old and lives at the California Academy of Sciences. There are only a few dozen known albino crocodiles in the world, all of which are kept in captivity. Their chances of surviving in the wild are slim because their conspicuous colors are almost impossible to blend into the natural environment.
