Meng Fandong is responsible for debugging truck cranes with lifting capacities of 55 tons to 230 tons. Fitters belong to the traditional metalworking category. But the skills of modern fitters have long been not limited to holding pliers and wrenches to make parts. A qualified fitter must master the basic operations of hammer, saw, file, drilling, reaming and other basic operations, but also master the loading, maintenance and repair skills of mechanical equipment.

At the end of last year, the commissioning section received the task of commissioning the XCA160AU equipment exported to Australia within a week. This is a brand new custom model, Meng Fandong and colleagues work 13 hours a day, while groping and debugging, checking tens of thousands of parts one by one. Seven days later, the XCA160AU successfully passed the acceptance test and was loaded into the southern hemisphere.
"For me, debugging these cranes is like researching transformer toys I wanted to make as a kid, I'm doing things that I really love. When I saw the cranes that I had debugged, participated in the construction of important national projects, and even exported overseas, I was particularly proud and had a sense of accomplishment. Meng Fandong said.
