In 1900, when Hedin inspected Lop Nur, he found the ruins of an ancient city buried under the yellow sand, which contained exquisite buildings, Buddha statues, and the word Loulan appeared in the text unearthed from the palace. This time their journey did not seem to be smooth, the car drove for three days and traveled less than 200 kilometers, but the water and gasoline carried with them had been half consumed. At this time, Pengam led the team around looking for water sources, but there was no water in several wells. According to the previous agreement, the team members proposed to return to the same way, but Pengam did not want to miss this opportunity, so he rejected their proposal.
By June 16, they had run out of water and gasoline, and the map showed that they had only traveled 1/3 of the way. While the team camped on the spot, they also sent a rescue telegram to the station, and it was not until the next morning that they received a reply from the station, asking them to wait for rescue in situ. The next day at this time, the members of the expedition team hanging on the heart can be regarded as falling, but at this time, Peng jiamu again proposed to go out to find water, all the team members think that he is superfluous, tomorrow the rescue will arrive, there is no need to toss themselves, to increase their own risk, so no one wants to go out to find water.
At noon on the 17th, the station sent a telegram again, asking all the personnel of the scientific expedition team to stand by. But at this moment, someone found that the captain was missing, and a note was left on the table. It reads "I left here to find water in the east", and the date of payment is 17th, but with obvious traces of alteration. At this point, Pengam disappeared into the vast Gobi.

Although these explanations sound quite scientific, if you think about it, there are still many loopholes, and some pits cannot be filled. If the people living in the ancient country of Loulan really moved because the Tarim River was diverted, then there would be no instantaneous transience. Secondly, during the period of the disappearance of the ancient country of Loulan, there was no record of a sudden increase in population in the cities around Loulan. Not to mention whether this loulan ancient country really went to the parallel universe, but it instantly disappeared into people's records of this indisputable fact.
There is also a view that beneath this ancient country of Loulan is a terrain of quicksand, and all the people living here are buried by the quicksand. The Xinjiang Academy of Sciences' answer to this statement is impossible. This answer has to be said to be very surprising, because the time when Lop Nur completely dried up was less than 20 years after the time of Pengam's disappearance, and there are not enough cases to support this brain hole. The dried corpse we mentioned at the beginning of the sentence found in 2007 is basically denied after DNA identification that it is the body of Peng jiamu, so this seemingly very reasonable explanation is actually not very reliable.

From Pengam's disappearance, we can know that after his disappearance, the military sent helicopters and thousands of troops to search, which is the largest official search and rescue operation for a single missing case to date, which also means that the expedition team has maintained some kind of contact with the military at that time. This makes me wonder who this Pengam really is, and what kind of special mission does he have to go to Lop Nur? What we already know is that in 200 years, Xinjiang Lop Nur established a company that produces potash salts, and this potassium is one of the main components of fertilizers, and there are only 14 countries in the world that can produce potash fertilizers. Lop Nur was a saltwater lake before it dried up, and it was possible that potash deposits would form as it dried up, but this mission was for the country and the people, so why not make it public? And after Pengam disappeared, the military also mobilized an unprecedented search and rescue force to find him, which is a treatment that scientists with two bombs and one satellite have not been treated.
