The "Blood Rose" itself is a remake of the 1973 Shaw film "Poison Girl", and the original version caused controversy that year because of the shockingly violent plot. Lan Naicai's remake version has become even more intense, which directly led to the fact that the film was cut out of a large number of plots when it was released on video tapes that year.
In that year, "Blood Rose" faced different markets and regions, and there were as many as four versions of different edited versions alone. The story begins in Macau, where the heroine Fang Jieying (Wang Xiaofeng) turns out to be the foreman of a nightclub.
