It is understood that CCC is a global cross-industry organization dedicated to developing standards for smartphone-to-car connectivity solutions. CCC has more than 100 member companies, including automakers such as General Motors, BMW, mercedes-Benz, as well as smartphone manufacturers such as Google, Apple, and Samsung, as well as a large number of automotive Tier 1 suppliers and software developers.
It is reported that after being invited to join the CCC Board of Directors, Xiaomi will participate in the construction of CCC standards, land the latest industry standards, further promote the technological innovation of digital car keys, ensure user privacy and data security, and continuously improve the user experience, helping CCC digital keys and other vehicle-machine interconnection solutions to maintain the leading position in the industry.
Regarding the progress of Xiaomi's car, it can be said that it is still in the process of construction.
It is understood that on April 20, Xiaomi Automobile bid 610 million yuan for the "YZ00-0606-0101" plot of Yizhuang New Town in Beijing Economic and Technological Development Zone. With an area of 718,000 square meters, the plot will become Xiaomi Automobile's headquarters base, sales headquarters and R&D headquarters, and it is expected that the first car will roll off the production line and achieve mass production in 2024. Previously, on November 27, 2021, the Administrative Committee of Beijing Economic and Technological Development Zone signed a contract with Xiaomi Technology to officially announce the settlement of Xiaomi Automobile in Beijing Economic Development Zone.
On March 22, 2022, Xiaomi Group announced that since the announcement of the car manufacturing plan in March 2021, Xiaomi's smart electric vehicle business has progressed more than expected. The scale of the automotive business R&D team has exceeded 1,000 people, and it will continue to expand R&D in core areas such as autonomous driving and intelligent cockpit in the future.
