To be on the safe side, Wieman immediately deposited the two pearls in the bank and went to the police station to file the case, and he also went to thailand's National Institute of Gem and Jewelry Research and Development and the Chantaburi Gem Center for certification and obtained an appraisal certificate.

Two months later, a businessman from Bangkok contacted Wieman and bought the two Merlot beads for 366,000 baht per carat, for a total of 10.31 million baht, equivalent to about 1.97 million yuan.
