De Montfort University, formerly known as the Leicester School of Art, was founded in 1870 and has a history of more than 150 years. In 2019, Fashion Business of Fashion Evaluated Global Art Academies as a whole, global impact, learning experience and long-term value, with DMU School of Art and Design voted "Best Fashion School in the World", with only three universities in the UK selected, with DMU as one of the selected universities.
