According to to the official news of Tottenham Hotspur, the club has reached an agreement with Qatari side Duhaile Sports on the transfer of Toby Alderweireld.
Alderweireld joined Tottenham Hotspur from Atletico Madrid in 2015 and formed a strong centre-back combination with compatriot Vertonghen, the two were instrumental in Tottenham's 2015-16 Champions League qualification, in 2016-17, Tottenham Hotspur finally ranked second in the league, conceding only 26 goals in the Premier League in a single season, creating the best single-season defensive record in the Premier League in the history of the team. In the 2018–19 season, The Heats reached the Champions League final, with Alderweireld starting for the team in the quarter-finals, semi-finals and finals.
Now, the 32-year-old Alderweireld has left a statistic of 236 appearances, and at the national team level he has made 113 appearances for Belgium, playing in the 2014 and 2018 World Cups, as well as Euro 2016 and 2020.
