Tang Xi Battle Past 1 - Xiu Cai Zhang Huai rebelled

In the west of Tangyin, southeast of Hebi Market Town, on the west bank of the Qihe River, there is a village called Ximajuhe Village, according to legend, in ancient times, the water of the Qiang River was large, and it was possible to fish by boat, and a farmer surnamed Chen learned that there was a good colt in this place, and every night he would come to the river to drink water, and run along a certain line, so he led his three sons to move to the west, middle and east of the place where the liangju passed, that is, today's West Maju River, Zhongmaju River, and East Maju River Village. Another saying is that Shimen Gang benqidi, the princes of the world will ally here, put horses on the West River, so it is called the Maju River.

In the early years of the Qing Dynasty, Zhang Huai was born in the village of Juhe, West Majuhe, surnamed Zhang was a large household in the village, the family was well-off, Zhang Huai was young and intelligent, familiar with the Four Books and Five Classics, received a good traditional education, ranked first in the small test, and later became a low-level alternate official through the township examination.

In 1905, the Qing court abolished the imperial examination system and implemented a preparatory constitution, in this context, Yuan Shikai founded the "Zhili Law and Politics School" in Baoding, a provincial capital directly under the direct subordination, with alternate officials under the age of 45 as the main enrollment target, and expanded the number of recruits, absorbing scholars and students from Shandong, Shanxi, Henan, Shaanxi, Anhui and even the three eastern provinces to study.

Although Zhang Huai had a meritorious name, he did not have an official and a half-position to serve, so he decided to apply for the School of Law and Politics directly under him, and after two years of study. Due to the extreme shortage of specialized legal talents at that time, after graduation, Zhang Huai was able to take up his post immediately and successively served as a judge in Xiuwu County and Chencheng County.

By 1921, Zhang Huai's troops had taken advantage of the favorable terrain and the officers and troops to start a guerrilla war, and the officers and troops had no results in the long battle, so they tried every means to bribe Zhang Huai's defender Zhao Shuo with only a heavy amount of money, and Zhao took advantage of his lack of preparation to assassinate him.
