"California Combo" - 29 shots to win the championship

The rules for the final round are the same as in the second round, which is a four-man two-ball match, also known as a rotational batting match. Two players play as a team, hitting the same ball in a rotational order on each hole.

In this round, the two started smoothly, with the first six consecutive papas.

On par 7, after his partner's kick-off off the fairway, Cantelli chose to go straight to the green and the ball landed about 2 yards from the hole, which was voted the best goal of the round. Subsequently, the Eagle Push was completed by Sheophile.

Interestingly, the "California combination" can not only tacitly catch the eagle, but also tacitly "push it".

Before and after the transition, Sheofeel made two push mistakes and swallowed bogeys on the 9th and 10th holes. On the 18th hole, Cantley had a chance to finish the Paula push, but the ball seemed to be "joking" and stopped at the mouth of the hole. In the end, the two handed over 1 bird, 1 eagle and 3 bogeys in a single round.

(Champion Combination)

Although they only played a par in this round, they finally won the championship with the advantage of two strokes.

It is worth mentioning that the total score of the -29 broke the 72-hole record set by Cameron Smith/Jonas Brixster, Kevin Kisner/Scott Brown in 2017.

("California Combination" calmly fights)

"It was supposed to be the worst of our four rounds. Pat (Kanteri) was calm, and he told me to take it easy. Our round is to remain calm and patient. Sheophile laughed.

It was Cantley's seventh PGA Tour title and his first since last year's Tour Championship. Meanwhile, this is the second time Thatophile has won the Championship since winning the Sentinel Championship in 2019.

Lead the table

Sam Boones and Billy Hoschel were just one stroke away from the lead combination after catching birdies on Nos. 8, 10 and 11.
