On the morning of April 22, the opening ceremony of the 57th Myanmar Jade Gem and Jewelry Exhibition was held at the Jade Hall of Maniyedna, Nayidaw. Min Aung Nhat, chairman of the National Management Commission, attended the opening ceremony, and he instructed that merchants could use dollars, euros and yuan when settling pearl and jade gemstone transactions. Later, if the merchant has a need, it will be arranged to settle in Hong Kong dollars and Thai baht.
At the opening ceremony, the Chairman of the State Management Commission visited the jade jadeite, gemstones and pearls at the Jade Gem jewelry exhibition, and visited the rough jade weighing 35 tons. This rough jade is the largest jade in this exhibition.
It is understood that the largest piece of jade was excavated from the mouth of Meilin Qiangchang, weighing about 308 tons when it was excavated, and then cutting 35 tons. This piece of jade is of high quality, with a base price of more than 5 million euros.
This year's Jade Gemstone Jewelry Exhibition will be held from April 22 to 28, and a total of 330 pearls, 120 gemstones and 2,000 jade stones will be exhibited, all of which will be sold to domestic and foreign jewelers in a clear manner in accordance with relevant regulations. There is also a private jade gemstone jewelry finished sales store in the Maniyedna Jade Hall.
It is reported that according to the regulations, the pearls at the exhibition are set at a base price in US dollars. When settling, foreign jewelers can settle in USD and RMB, while domestic jewelers can settle in USD, RMB or Kyat. Jade gemstones, on the other hand, are set at a base price in euros, and jewelers can settle in U.S. dollars, euros, and renminbi.
