On April 24, Beijing time, the main competition of the F1 Imola station began to compete. In the end, after a wonderful fierce battle, Red Bull Racing won the top two places, and Norris finished third and reached the podium for the first time in the season. Chinese driver Zhou Guanyu started from the pit lane and finished 15th.

Leclerc hit the wall on lap 53 and was overtaken by Norris after returning to the track, before Leclerc pitted and Leclerc fell to 9th place. On the last four laps of the race, Leclerc trailed to 7th place. The competition for the 4th place between Bottas and Russell in the last 3 laps was fierce, with the gap between the two within 1 second.
At the end of the race, Verstappen won the race, his second race of the season, and the second consecutive year. Verstappen's teammate Perez finished second with an excellent start. Norris finished 3rd and made his first podium this season.
