Native Fish Phase II: Gobies

author:Xiao Ru

Gobies are a species of fish in the family Goby in the order Goby.

Gobies are found in the coastal waters of the world except the Antarctic and the Arctic, especially in tropical and subtropical waters, and some species can adapt to freshwater life. Gobies have a very mixed diet, and the eggs of smaller fish, shrimp, worms and other fish are all food for gobies. A prominent morphological feature of gobies is that the ventral fins merge into one, forming a suction cup-like structure. This structure is very adapted to intertidal environments, and when large waves hit, they can keep goby tightly attached to rocks or other fixed objects without being washed away.

Shrimp tiger feeding, generally speaking, gobies are mainly live food, by no means vegetarians, blood worms, earthworms, shrimp are its favorite, but the general dry feed, frozen shrimp can also be accepted. In the arrangement of the tank, the shrimp tiger has the habit of digging sand, so when planting aquatic weeds, it is necessary to pay attention to planting water weeds with relatively strong roots, and it is best to arrange a place for the goat tiger to hide in the tank so that it can mate and spawn. In the tank where the shrimp tiger is raised, it is best to make the water flow, and the water temperature is not too high, so that the body color of the shrimp tiger can be more vivid, and the food should be sufficient to avoid attacking other small fish or shrimp.
