Brooks made a layup and Bane hit another three-pointer. The two sides paused back, and Vanderbilt cut a dunk. Edwards suddenly covered his knees and was helped back into the dressing room. The game went on, with Williams hitting three-pointers and Beverley having three-pointers, and then he made up the layup and the Timberwolves took a 20-19 lead. Bain hit another three-pointer, Russell hit back with a three-pointer, Edwards made a layup, and the first quarter ended with the Timberwolves leading 33-28.
