Towns changed the slump in the first three games, and he made 8 of 17 in the whole game, with 33 points, 14 rebounds and 3 assists. The second-highest number of playoff career 30+10 rebounds in team history, behind Garnett (7).

Edwards made a layup, the Timberwolves made a 6-0 start, Bane hit a three-pointer and the Grizzlies finally scored. He then hit a layup. Bane hit another three-pointer and the Grizzlies went 9-2. Brooks made a layup and Bane hit another three-pointer. The two sides paused back, and Vanderbilt cut a dunk. Edwards suddenly covered his knees and was helped back into the dressing room. The game went on, with Williams hitting three-pointers and Beverley having three-pointers, and then he made up the layup and the Timberwolves took a 20-19 lead. Bain hit another three-pointer, Russell hit back with a three-pointer, Edwards made a layup, and the first quarter ended with the Timberwolves leading 33-28.
In the second quarter, Jones hit a three-pointer, Jackson scored a layup, and the Grizzlies went on a 6-0 wave to regain the lead. McLaughlin and Beverley hit three consecutive three-pointers and the Grizzlies were on hold. Back on the court, Beverly clashed with Bain, and Black Bey reached for the ball and sprayed garbage each other, eating a technical foul. Beverley hit a three-pointer, Prince also had a three-pointer, and the Timberwolves completed a 17-1, 50-35 lead. Coming back from the timeout, Brooks and Bain hit five consecutive three-pointers, the Grizzlies returned a wave of 17-7, Edwards made a layup, Russell fouled Morant level one, and at halftime, the Grizzlies trailed 56-60. Bain also made history, becoming the first player in Grizzlies history to hit at least six three-pointers and score at least 20 points in a single playoff game.
Back at halftime, Vanderbilt countered with a dunk, Brooks threw a throw back, and suddenly a female fan broke in and was carried away by the security guards in uniform. The game continued, with Edwards hitting three-pointers, Bane returning with three-pointers, Edwards having three more points and the Grizzlies timeout. Bain counter-attacked layup plus 1, Clark threw a shot, Edwards hit a three-pointer, Beverly also had a three-pointer, Bane countered with a dunk, Downs layup 2 plus 1, and the Timberwolves led 85-79. McLaughlin hit a three-pointer, Vanderbilt cut in the air, Morant hit the second goal of the game, and at the end of the third quarter, the Grizzlies trailed 87-93.
McLaughlin hit a three-pointer in the fourth quarter, Brooks made a layup, Tillman threw a shot and the Grizzlies trailed just two points. The Timberwolves came back on a timeout, Jackson hit a three-pointer, the Grizzlies trailed to 101-102, downs big hat Morant, and then he hit a three-point shot. Morant 2 plus 1, timberwolves successfully challenged the ball, Towns hit another three-pointer, Jackson fouled Downs fiercely, and left the court with six fouls. With 1 minute and 47 seconds left, Bane hit two free throws and Russell hit a jumper to give the Timberwolves a seven-point lead. With 6 seconds left, Brooks hit a jumper, but it was too late. After that, the Grizzlies were unable to return to the sky, and the Timberwolves completed their revenge, with an overall score of 2-2.
