He gives people a feeling of contradiction, and his body is always full of decadent and stubborn beauty, as if he has seen through life and death.
And this may have something to do with his childhood experience.
Born in Chiba Prefecture, Japan in 1965, Yoshiki lived in a kimono shop to a family that was already wealthy.
He was frail and sickly at birth, and suffered from severe asthma, and even doctors said he might not live to adulthood.
In addition to their heartache, their parents were eager to give him all their love and tried their best not to let him suffer even a little grievance.
Yoshiki's love of music stemmed from his piano-loving father, who began learning classical piano at the age of 4 under his tutelage.
And every year on his birthday, his parents would give him a new musical instrument. At the age of 9, his gift was a drum kit.
Although his health was not very good, his childhood was still full of love and joy. Until the age of 10, my father died...
One day, Yoshiki, who was returning home from training, saw her father lying on the ground.

The pain of the death of a loved one is often magnified infinitely later. After the funeral, Yoshiki suddenly realized that he would never see his father again.

Since then, Yoshiki has changed, becoming irritable and inaccessible, locking himself in his house every day and smashing everything he could into pieces.
In his heart, he blamed his father's death on himself, "I am not a good son", "If my body was healthy, wouldn't my father have committed suicide"...
After letting go for a while, looking at his mother with pain in his eyes, he knew that he could not go on like this anymore. So I began to learn to vent my emotions into music.
By chance, he saw the performance of the American heavy metal band KISS.

In junior high school, the two formed their first band, DYNAMITE, and two years later, Yoshiki formed another BAND, WITH TOSHI as the lead singer.
After entering high school, the band members quit one after another due to academic problems. After that, the two simply performed various performances underground under the name of "X".
On the eve of graduating from high school, Yoshiki, who had excellent grades, resolutely chose to give up her studies and went to Tokyo with Toshi!
In Tokyo, they meet a group of like-minded partners, Taiji (Taiji) (Yasushi Sawata), Pata (Tomoaki Ishizuka), Hide (Hidetoma Matsumoto), the band is still called X...
Hide's first performance after joining X was in a small restaurant, and the super sound wave turned the audience upside down.
The show was also put on TELEVISION for a second. Since then, X has been completely on fire.
And the captain Yoshiki, who has a very contradictory aesthetic, also attracted the attention of countless people in an instant.
After that, X ushered in the peak period, creating a classic in the history of rock and roll, and finally pushed rock music into the mainstream.

In 1992, bassist Taiji officially left the team (he committed suicide at the age of 45) and the band was in danger of falling apart.

At the same time, Yoshiki's health was deteriorating, often having to take oxygen while beating drums, and suffering from cervical spine support syndrome, which had to be fixed with a strap around his neck.

However, before Yoshiki could be happy, Toshi offered to quit the band. (It has been reported that Toshi joined a cult at the instigation of his ex-wife.)
Because of Toshi's withdrawal, on December 31, 1997, Hide offered to send Toshi off, hosting him a farewell live: The Last Live.
Not long after this LIVE, Hide was found dead at home.
When the news of his death came, Yoshiki collapsed, and the pain of his father's death as a child struck again. The band was suddenly without two generals, and soon it was disbanded.
In 2006, Toshi woke up and reconciled with Yoshiki. In 2007, Toshi returned to X JAPAN, the band regrouped, and made a comeback.
For rock 'n' roll, Yoshiki has an almost crazy obsession.
His achievements are also obvious to all, twice producing the Theme Song of the Golden Globe Awards, hand-picked by the Emperor of Japan to compose songs, the only Asian judge of the Grammys, and known as the "Godfather of Rock and Roll in the Japanese Visual Department".
