On April 15, at the "Juji Handicraft Workshop" in Nanhengkou Village, Jingxing County, Shijiazhuang City, Li Wei skillfully demonstrated the ceramic production process such as kneading mud and pulling blanks.

Nanhengkou Village is surrounded by mountains and water, located at the confluence of the Mianhe River and the Gantao River, since the Sui and Tang Dynasties, the ceramic manufacturing industry has continued to develop and flourish, and the kiln area of Nanhengkou Village has also become one of the several major areas of the Jingxing kiln.

Li Wei, 36 years old, has always been obsessed with ceramics making techniques, and in 2004 began to collect old porcelain pieces from Jingxing kilns for research, and hand-pulled blanks according to the traditional craftsmanship of Jingxing kilns to make ceramic utensils. In 2018, he quit his job and opened a ceramics studio in the old house of a relative in Nanhengkou Village.

Many tourists come with their children to experience handmade ceramic utensils, and after pulling, repairing, firing and other links, they are very happy to see their own tea sets, flower pots and other utensils. Li Wei said that in addition to teaching tourists to experience ceramic production, ceramic artworks are also designed and produced according to the traditional craftsmanship of Jingxing kiln, and the most popular is the box bowl cup made by imitating the reduction of the box bowl, and more than 100 cups are fired each time will soon be sold out.
