Created in 1950, the modern Peking Opera stage 'Will Xianghe' was adapted by the famous playwrights Weng Yihong and Wang Jiezhu on the basis of the old Peking Opera editions of "Complete Bi Gui Zhao", "Shi Chi Hui" and "Negative Jing Please Sin".
All of the "General Xianghe" includes the main scenes such as "Xiang Xiang Xiang Zhi", "Zhao Wang Yongxian", "Carrying the Wall to Qin", "Returning to Zhao after completing the Bibi", "Attending the Meeting of the Golden Temple", "Blocking the Road on the Long Street", "Sitting in the House", "Releasing suspicions in the restaurant", "Honesty and Remorse", "Bearing the Sin of Jing", etc., showing the theme of unity between culture and martial arts to resist strong enemies; and also giving play to the characteristics of Peking Opera robes and operas, making very good arrangements for the singing of Sheng (Lin Xiangru) and Jing (Lianpo). Among them, 3 times "Long Street Blocking the Way" depicts Lin Xiangru's magnanimity, tolerance and incorruptibility of narrowness and arrogance, which is particularly prominent. The whole adaptation is richer than the old version and has a higher ideological significance.
In 1950, "General Xianghe" was performed in Tianjin and Beijing at the same time by Li Shaochun and Yuan Shihai of the New China Experimental Peking Opera Troupe and Tan Fuying and Qiu Shengrong of the Taiping Peking Opera Society. According to the different strengths of the actors, the singing arrangement of the play is slightly different. Subsequently, Ma Lianliang, Xi Xiaobo, Li Hezeng, Ji Yuliang and other famous artists also staged this play one after another, and according to their personal artistic styles, they all had different singing voice reforms.
Modern stage performances of this play have mostly deleted the "restaurant release", one is to refine the script to shorten the length, and the other is the restaurant dialogue of the five clowns, which is not easy to shine, so now they do not perform this. Tan Qiu's version is played by Ma Fulu Li Shengfang and others. The most complete scripts began to have the Golden Hall of the King of Qin, the Golden Hall of the King of Zhao, and the field of the celebration banquet for the lianpo receiving the wind and the group, mainly to improve the plot, and the later performances had different deletions.

Li Shaochun Yuan Shihai version, this cassette tape only has two parts of "sealing the phase" and "reconciling the phase", which is also the essence of this play, which is a classic model for the combination of Yu Pai Laosheng and the rack flower face. This recording is a 1953 silent recording, Li He once played Zhao Wang, which is different from the live version of the audio and video. Now the performance generally uses Xiaosheng to play King Zhao, one is that the old students in this play already have Lin Xiangru and Yu Qing, and xiaosheng can enrich the stage, and the image of King Zhao who is weak and deceitful is also more appropriate for Xiaosheng. Among them, the singing section of Li Shaochun's "Xiangfu" is widely sung by old students, the flow of "Protecting Bi makes Qin" is also relatively popular, and the shengjing duet of "harmony" is all loose board.

Tan Fuying Qiu Shengrong's version of "Will Xianghe" can be called a model of cooperation between the two major singing schools of Lao Sheng and Copper Hammer Flower Face, Weng Yihong fully considered the artistic characteristics of Tan Qiu when redesigning the lyrics, and adjusted and balanced the weight of each singing section to be obviously different from Li Yuan's version. For example, when passing the level, the original plate of the West Leather Guide Board is obviously more refreshing than the flowing water. The "Xiangfu" only uses four original plates, which is much more refined than Li Shaochun's, but in the back of the "please sin" one is four sentences of the original board, and it is heavier than Li Shaochun's two-sentence rocking board, especially the raw and pure duet of the three-eyed original board "Old General Why do you have to carry this back cane" gives full play to the singing characteristics of Tan Pai art, which can be said to have reached the climax. And Qiu Shengrong not only became his masterpiece "in the Golden Temple" in the large section erhuang, but even the allegro of obstruction and pleading guilt, and the repentant erliu had a far-reaching impact.
