Li Yang: A "small poplar" rooted in the grassroots

author:Beijing Iron Police

He has just turned thirty years old and has spent seven spring and autumn seasons in the grass-roots police station. In the past seven years, he has regarded the jurisdiction as a "responsibility field", worked deeply, seriously investigated the safety hazards of the line, and patiently resolved the disputes of villagers along the line. He polished the police badge above his head with his youth, and interpreted the loyalty and responsibility of the people's police with practical actions. He is Li Yang, the fourth-level police chief of the Huanghuagang Station Police Station of the Shenhua Public Security Department of the Beijing Railway Public Security Bureau.

Li Yang: A "small poplar" rooted in the grassroots

The Huanghuagang Station Police Station is the only police station under the jurisdiction of the Shenhua Public Security Department that also has jurisdiction over the three railway lines of Shuohuang Railway, Huangwan Railway and Huangda Railway. In 2014, with a yearning for the police profession, Li Yang passed the national civil service examination to become a railway policeman and came to the Huanghuagang Station police station. Down-to-earth, studious and diligent, Li Yang quickly grew into the backbone of the police station. In the past seven years, he has always insisted on inspecting the most "stupid" but most solid way of patrolling the line safety hazards, walking more than 10 kilometers a day, carefully inspecting every piece of protective net, every bridge, and every culvert along the line; regularly carrying out fire safety training for railway workers, supervising and inspecting the fire safety hazards in the jurisdiction; going to the villages, schools and construction sites in the jurisdiction rain or shine, preaching the knowledge of loving the road and protecting the road for the children, carrying out legal publicity and education to the grazing fellows, and conducting safety education for the construction personnel. Disseminate knowledge on the prevention of telecommunications fraud.

In the cold and summer, Li Yang's big things and small feelings for the villages along the line are "clear", as long as the villagers have needs, he is dedicated to helping solve them. In May, villagers in one village in the district planned to dredge the village's drainage ditch before the rainy season. This work requires the cooperation of the relevant railway departments. After he and his colleagues learned about it, they actively contacted the railway enterprise teams to cooperate with the villagers in the construction, urged the construction personnel to pay attention to the safety of construction, and finally helped the villagers successfully complete the excavation and dredging of the drainage ditch before the rainy season came. Far from home, stationed in a remote police district, Li Yang, who is optimistic by nature, has never felt a psychological gap. In his view, although the work of the grass-roots frontline is trivial and inconspicuous, if these tasks are done in a down-to-earth manner, they will be able to safeguard the safety of the line and the safety of the masses.

In the face of the daily work of the police station, he is meticulous and solid. There are urgent and difficult jobs, and he always leads the charge. During the critical period of national epidemic prevention and control in 2020, Li Yang took the initiative to overcome many difficulties such as home in other places and the birth of his child, and worked with colleagues to carry out internal epidemic prevention and elimination, publicize epidemic prevention knowledge, etc., and stuck to his post for more than 40 consecutive days. After the outbreak of the new crown epidemic in Hebei in early 2021, he once again took the initiative to ask for help: "I am a party member, I went first, and I participated in the epidemic prevention and control last year, and I have experience!" To this end, he returned to Hebei from his hometown in Shandong, threw himself into the epidemic prevention work, and once again insisted on fighting in his post for more than 40 days.

At the same time, as the "old policeman" of the police station, Li Yangdu regarded it as his responsibility to help the new police quickly integrate into the big family of the police station. As long as there is a new police officer at the police station every time, he will introduce the characteristics of the security environment in the jurisdiction to the new police in detail, and lead the police to be familiar with each line and each place. Sometimes when he saw the newly arrived young police officers facing the lines in the deserted saline land, the remote police stations, and the relatively closed and independent station areas, it was difficult to adapt to their thinking for a while, so he patiently enlightened them, told their work experience, and helped them calm down and put themselves into their work.

Li Yang: A "small poplar" rooted in the grassroots

Seven years of work experience have enabled Li Yang of the past to grow from a new recruit to the backbone of the current dynasty. He is like a poplar tree, rooted there, day after day to guard the line safety of the jurisdiction, with affection to do a good job of the people along the line of the intimate people. He always believes that as long as he is down-to-earth, sincerely dedicated, and sincerely dedicated, he can make extraordinary contributions in ordinary jobs.
