Design philosophy: value which lasts
Some people say that ChiBei Chiko's design is a scenery that people will not get bored of.
Once known as Japan's most beautiful bookstore, Yamaguya Shoten was designed by the designer group KDa (Klein Dytham Architecture) and the main vision was created by Kenya Hara. Designer Chi Bei Chi acts as a "client agent" and is responsible for the overall coordination of the entire project.
The paradise that Masuda had been planning for many years had only become a reality in the hands of many creators. Tomoko Ikegai also rose to fame at Tsukiya Shoten, founding ikg Design in 2004, and her work has since been selected for the Andrew Martin International Interior Design Award.
ikg provides master planning and design of the things associated with the building. From the site selection of residences and shops, to the architectural design of buildings and entrance porches, interior design, lighting design, furniture, art, as well as curtains, fabrics, tableware, home appliances, etc., audio environment proposals, garden green plant planning, anti-theft planning and other comprehensive design services. The artistic expression of the fragrance of books is the strength of ikg, from commercial bookstores to family bookstores, they are different, the designer's spatial expression of the home is delicate, and the display of private books is more personal and personalized. The whole home is immersed in the elegant cultural atmosphere, and the warmth and comfort of the home are retained.
#02 Qian eaves Bookstore @ Shenzhen
Design Projects
The Qianya Bookstore of The MixC Shenzhen Bay, designed by Chi Bei Zhizi, believes that in Shenzhen, a city with unlimited development potential, it is particularly important to cherish China's originality and individuality and explore the image of the East in the context of globalization.
The "eaves" are the edges of the traditional Chinese roof that protrude outwards, implying that oriental culture has expanded to the whole world. The name of the bookstore is "Front Eaves", which embodies the forward-looking vision of the cultural frontier.
With an area of 2,475 square meters and a bookstore, as well as oriental elements such as traditional Chinese medicine, coffee, gold and silver jewelry and works of art, ChiBei Zhizi is based on Chinese culture and has the concept of "oriental life" to design a space where he can create his own unique story.
With the concept of "Zen", the space is separated from the hustle and bustle of the world outside through a long rammed earth wall. Rammed earth walls are a blend of different shades of soil, such as amber and milky white.
#03 Yanjiyou Maike Center Bookstore @ Xi'an
Design Projects
Chibei Tomoko advocates returning to life, letting reading into life and real life dialogue, "even if you stay all day, you will not get tired of the daily scenery" is the concept she has always insisted on in space design. The flagship store of Yanjiyou Maike Center has become a beautiful landscape of Xi'an City under her design concept, which is also Chi BeiZhizi's first work in China.
Inspired by Xi'an's famous Daming Palace, the design is a vast space consisting of several rooms connected. Among them, there are a number of large and small independent spaces, each space has its own characteristics, only after walking in will you feel the different atmosphere of different spaces. There is no established route inside the space, and everyone can freely visit according to their different preferences.
