Interpretation of the preface to Lu Shunchen's Jiajing Deqingzhou Chronicle: The editor of the Chenghua Deqingzhou Chronicle was Peng Hou, not Peng Yuan

Last month, the author argued in "The Nameless" that this Fang Zhi, which is not mentioned in the deqing local classics, does exist. And from the Ming Dynasty's "Bibliography of Qianqingtang" and some contemporary Fangzhi monographs, it is believed that the author of "Chenghua Deqingzhou Zhi" is Peng Yuan.

In order to explore more information about the "Chronicle of Chenghua Deqingzhou", it was decided to start with the editor Peng Yuan, but searching all over the history of the land and Fang Zhi found nothing. So I decided to find another entry point.

Interpretation of the preface to Lu Shunchen's Jiajing Deqingzhou Chronicle: The editor of the Chenghua Deqingzhou Chronicle was Peng Hou, not Peng Yuan

"Guangdong Fang Zhi Kaoli" "In the sixteenth year of Jiajing, Yi Ling Hengzhou raised a person Lu Shunchen, to the county Zhi Yong Lejian hermit Liang Puxiu, lost in excess, Chenghuajian taught Peng Yuanxiu, lost in Wu, Jiajing ten years Yiren Zhang Yuda restoration, did not complete the book. Thus on this basis, it was revised. "Where did the reference to this record of Guangdong Fang Zhi Kaoli come from?

From the content point of view, it may be the preface to the Jiajing Deqingzhou Chronicle. However, in the Qing Dynasty, the Jiajing Deqing Zhou Zhi Tian Yi Ge Orphan Edition already lacked the preface to the first volume and the first volume of the Chart Classic, and only one map of Kaijian remained.

Perhaps the preface to the Jiajing Deqingzhou Chronicle contained in other texts? Divergent thinking, suddenly enlightened. Soon a preface to the Jiajing Deqing Zhou Zhi was found in a Ming Dynasty classic.

Lu Shunchen's "Chronicle of Deqing Prefecture" contains:

"In the midst of Yongle, the hermit Liang Puxiuzhi, his loss is also excessive. In the midst of Chenghua, he taught Peng Houxiuzhi that his loss was also wu. Jiajing Xindi, Dr. Zhang Junzida of Xiangda, restored it, but it was not written in time, and there are also the relics of the three counties. ”

Interpretation of the preface to Lu Shunchen's Jiajing Deqingzhou Chronicle: The editor of the Chenghua Deqingzhou Chronicle was Peng Hou, not Peng Yuan

Lu Shunchen wrote a preface to the Jiajing Deqingzhou Chronicle

The Bibliography of Qianqingtang and contemporary Fang Zhi research monographs such as Guangdong Fang Zhi Kaoli say that Peng Yuan Xiucheng Huazhi (Guangdong Fang Zhi Kaoli also writes "Zhang Zida" as "Zhang Yuda"), and Lu Shunchen says that Peng Hou Xiucheng Huazhi? Whichever is the standard, the so-called orphan evidence is not established. Whether it is Peng Hou or Peng Yuan, more corroboration must be found.

Wanli's Quanzhou Fuzhi Guan Shou Zhi (Quanzhou Fu zhi) reads: "Tong'an County Studies: Tianshunjian Penghou, Deqing ren, teaching. ”

Kangxi's Tong'an County Chronicle of Guanshi zhi contains "Confucian Teachings: Peng Hou, a native of Deqing Prefecture. Tianshun is in charge. ”

Qianlong's "Wuzhou Fuzhi Officials" records that "Teachings: Peng Hou, Deqing Jiansheng, JingTaijian. ”

The "Inscription of Jinshi" included in Guangxu's "DeqingZhou Zhi Jinshi" is engraved with "Jingtai Gengwuke, Peng Hou, Neixiangren".

It can be seen from this that the editor of the "Chenghua Deqingzhou Chronicle" was Peng Hou, not Peng Yuan.
