According to the latest data released by the Ministry of Education, the number of graduates nationwide in 2022 is expected to reach 10.76 million.
This data has directly brought China's college graduate population into the tens of millions of times.
In 2000, the number of graduates was only 950,000, and in 22 years, this number has increased by 11.3 times.

This data once again tells us that the era of college students' "proud children of heaven" is gone forever, and instead, the streets are full of college students.
From a regional point of view, the five urban circles of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei, Yangtze River Delta, Pearl River Delta, Chengdu-Chongqing and the middle reaches of the Yangtze River contribute almost half of the country's graduates.
National graduate distribution in 2021
The number of graduates exceeded 10 million, a record high, and it also meant a new high in employment demand.
The employed population includes not only college graduates, but also many people who have not gone to college, and many unemployed people need to be re-employed.
In other words, the scale of employment demand in 2022 will be much larger than 10.76 million.
Judging from the number of jobs increased in China over the years, it seems that these employment needs can also be met this year.
According to the National Bureau of Statistics, the number of new jobs in cities and towns nationwide in 2021 was 12.69 million, compared with 9.09 million graduates last year.
However, this year's situation is different from last year's, under the impact of the epidemic, our unemployment rate in the first quarter exceeded expectations by 5.8%, three percentage points higher than the expected 5.5%.
At the same time, the latest consumption data released by the National Bureau of Statistics for March showed negative growth. The GDP growth rate in the first quarter was 4.8%, which is still far from the annual growth target of about 5.5%.
Employment needs to be built on the economy, and only when the economy develops well can we increase the number of jobs and meet the employment needs of society.
Judging from the current situation, the employment pressure is still relatively large. The central bank announced a RRR cut a few days ago, one of the purposes of which is to boost the economy and increase employment.
02
In recent years, the employment pressure has been increasing, and in this context, the number of graduate students, civil servants and editors has also continued to reach new highs.
The main purpose is to delay employment and avoid increasing employment competition, on the other hand, the examination is to enhance their competitiveness, and the examination and examination are hoping to obtain a stable position and avoid the internal volume.
However, what is self-defeating is that the number of applicants who continue to set a new high has made the entire examination and research, examination and examination industry one of the largest inner volume scenes.
According to data from the Ministry of Education, the number of national examination and research students will continue to reach a new high in 2022, reaching 4.57 million, an increase of 800,000 over last year.
But enrollment increased by only 50,000 over the same period, to only about 1.1 million. That means the acceptance rate will be even lower, with three-quarters of the people falling out on the list.
Data: Ministry of Education
In terms of public examinations, a total of 2.123 million people passed the qualification examination, and the actual number of recruits was only 31,200, the application ratio was as high as 68:1, and the number of applicants and the intensity of competition hit a new high.
In terms of examination editing, the data has not yet been disclosed in 2022, and the number of teachers who applied for the examination in 2021 exceeded 11 million, which is also a staggering number.
More and more people want to jump into the system, which just shows the current fierceness of all walks of life. But under the inner volume, no industry has been spared.
Although more and more people want to jump into the system, the number of admissions is so large, more people, have to face the reality, face the internal volume, and face the industry competition.
More graduates will still go out of the campus and rush to the new battlefield of life.
Judging from the past data, the economically developed areas along the southeast coast are undoubtedly the first choice for more graduates.
According to the 2021 data, Guangdong, Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Beijing and Shanghai are the five regions with the largest number of graduates inflow in the country, of which Guangdong has 302,000, Zhejiang 214,000, Jiangsu 189,000, Beijing 165,000 and Shanghai 141,000.
These five traditional talents attract strong provinces and cities to account for 47% of the country's mobile graduates.
The influx of graduates from various provinces and cities in 2021
Of course, the above is only mobile data, and some of it is the number of local college students who stay.
Judging from the data of the past years, a considerable part of the college students in various regions will stay in the local development, and some will flow out. The proportion of what remains depends on many factors, such as the local economic development, the supply of jobs, and the cost of living.
Judging from the publicly disclosed data, Chongqing is the city with the highest proportion of graduates living in the country, followed by Shenzhen.
Graduate residency rate in 36 key cities in 2021
As can be seen from the above figure, Chongqing's overall residence rate is the highest, as high as 76.7%, but the residency rate of key universities in Chongqing is not high, only 57.7%, and the overall residency rate is the first, mainly the residency rate of non-key universities.
03
Shenzhen is quite tough, whether it is the residency rate of key universities or non-key universities, it is the highest in the country. The comprehensive residency rate is 75%, second only to Chongqing.
This data reflects that the vast majority of graduates who went to university in Shenzhen stay in Shenzhen for employment after graduation. In the case of Shenzhen's Southern University of Science and Technology, 77.9% of the graduates in 2021 stayed in Shenzhen to develop.
Shenzhen not only has a prominent residence rate, but also has a strong attraction for graduates from other places. According to the "2021 College Graduate Employment Report" released by 58.com, Shenzhen is the second most preferred city for graduates in the country, second only to Shanghai.
In addition, the residency rates of Shenyang, Chengdu, Xi'an, Shanghai and other cities are also good. However, the attractiveness of Shenyang and Xi'an to graduates from other places is not prominent, especially in Shenyang. It is mainly affected by the economy, industry and income.
The traditional high education towns, Guangzhou and Wuhan, the residence rate ranking is not very high, Guangzhou residence rate ranks tenth in the country, Wuhan residence rate ranks 19th in the country.
This means that a considerable proportion of graduates from the two major higher education towns are outflowed.
More importantly, although the residence rate in Guangzhou is not particularly high, its attraction to graduates from other places is still very strong, and its attraction to graduates in the country is second only to Shanghai and Shenzhen.
Wuhan's attraction to graduates from other places is insufficient, as can be clearly seen from the "2021 College Graduate Employment Report" released by 58.com.
