The Raad 85 (also known as R'ad 85 or Ra'ad 85) is a cruise bomb (also known as a suicide drone in the West) developed by Iran in 2010. It is equipped with a camera that can search an area, transmit images to the command station, and then the operator determines the target and then carries out suicide attacks; civilian traffic control tasks can also be carried out. The R&D unit is a collaboration between the Army, the self-sufficient Jihadist Organization and Qods Aviation Industries, and the user is the Army.
The aircraft has a certain ability to fight electronic warfare, and can replace the warhead to adapt to different attack targets. It uses a fixed take-off and landing skid, a two-blade piston engine, launched from the launcher, and does not need to return to the ship for one use. Although the photoelectric turret was not installed under the nose of the machine according to the emission photo, it was temporarily installed in the video and fixed with tape.
The West calls the aircraft a shoddy replica of Boeing's Insitut ScanEagle, but the styling and performance of the two are very different.
