When I chose the mold industry, my idea was very simple, that is, I wanted to learn a craft that could support my family.
This era is developing too fast, new things are happening every day, and people's hearts are also impetuous. The mold industry is a relatively traditional industry, if there is a skill, it is not easy to be eliminated. The longer you work, the more "valuable" you are. The only thing this job requires you is to have great patience and perseverance to keep a lonely and hard work in this pompous era. A traditional industry with people as the core, there is no shortcut to becoming an excellent mold designer, and can only rely on the precipitation of time.
One thing I only heard my mother talk about in the past two years. When I first entered the industry in 2008, I interned in a small factory in Beiqiao, Gongshu District, which mainly made extrusion molds. At that time, there was a list, and the customer asked us to use the toner to make the plastic material to make the meat pink. I remember very clearly that at that time, the whole workshop was filled with a pink mist of flesh pink, and as long as you worked in it, your whole body would be covered and could not be washed off. If you use a board brush for a long time, the color will be lighter.
My mom said that at that time, because the color on her clothes could not be brushed off, she secretly cried many times. She said she was wronged for me. I think everyone is a native of Hangzhou, why her friend's children have such a good working environment and can sit in the office, I have to suffer in the workshop.
I didn't have that concept at the time. It may be that my personality is also a bit "axis", just thinking that since I have chosen this line, I must do a good job. Now that I think about it, I owe a lot to my parents for the development of my character. They never said in front of me that they would give up if the work was hard. If they had said that to me, maybe I wouldn't be sitting here.
Not only the "axis", I also like to give myself some pressure. Not to mention the experience of the past two competitions, in 2016, shanghai GM designed a laminated mold, and now I think about it, it is still a big challenge.
At that time, Shanghai GM needed a part for airbags, and the demand was very large. The direct problem is that the production capacity of the factory here cannot keep up, and if two injection molding machines are opened, the cost is immeasurable. In order to increase production capacity, I finally chose the laminated mold that was originally used in low-end products such as hangers and spoons. It was the first of its kind to associate an auto parts mold with a die for low-end products that requires a very strict precision requirement. In the field of automotive molds, no one has dared to do this.
How to maintain the balance in the stack mold, so that the cycle, temperature, injection time, etc. on both sides are consistent... The problems that followed have plagued us for a long time. I remember it took our team almost a month and a half, pushing back and forth every day, to come up with a plan. For me at that time, I felt both a great responsibility and a great excitement.
I'm a Capricorn, typical workaholic. Like challenges, like to put pressure on yourself, like to never stop, keep moving forward. Past achievements, honors, money, it is like the city of Rome, it has been built, I can stop at this achievement, but I don't want to.
There is a saying in the craftsman's manifesto that I like very much, "You need to be persistent, and you need to achieve something." "In my opinion, it's not that I pick the industry and pick the job, but no matter what job I do, I should do my best in the industry."
This is a traditional industry, facing the biggest problem, not the menacing wave of digitalization, but the aging of the entire industry. Young people no longer choose the mold industry, talent fault, this is a problem that I am very anxious about now.
How to let young people know the advantages of our industry, how to cultivate excellent talents, and output to the front line, I thought that the focus of my next stage of work is here. In the past few years, I want to at least start from myself, whether it is cooperation with the school or cooperation with the factory, I want to use my own knowledge and experience to input a fresh force into the mold industry.
Because of an industry, only people can form craftsmen.

From why he chose this industry when he was young, to the persistence of this industry for more than ten years, in the conversation with Zhang Lizhou, I gradually sketched out the appearance of a young apprentice who was next to the machine tool and worked hard to study new knowledge points.
In the chat, Zhang Lizhou often talked about the current situation of talent faults in the mold industry, which is his most anxious problem at present. No young people are willing to come to this industry, and what is most needed for this job is to endure loneliness. He teased himself: The less hair, the deeper the seniority; the deeper the seniority, the greater the ability; the greater the ability, the greater the responsibility. After nearly twenty years in the mold industry, it's time for him to pay back.
In just two hours of communication, I felt that Zhang Lizhou was an old-school person. In this era of fast-pacedness, he held on untimely, polishing the mold in his hand. He was not born to do this line, and the reasons for choosing the mold industry are also realistic. But he used great patience and perseverance, and used time to precipitate himself and cultivate himself. It is easy to do a day's work, but the hard thing is to persist day after day.
