Last year, Professor Chen Chuanxi studied Chinese Jiao ink painting and Xuzhou's "Pengcheng Carved Stone Painting", and wrote a nationally renowned commentary on the "New Development of Jiao Ink Painting", pointing out that "Pengcheng Carved Stone Painting" is "a new creation that no one before" has opened up a new path for the development of Jiaomo painting in China.

Earlier, the famous mainland art critics Danqing Feihu and Danqing Jushi made in-depth comments on the "Pengcheng Jiao ink paintings"; Lu Yushun, president of the National Academy of Painting of China, and Cui Xiaodong, director of the Central Academy of Fine Arts, successively inscribed the inscriptions for the "Pengcheng Carved Stone Stones", and today Professor Chen Chuanxi has written inscriptions for it.

Since the beginning of this year, Mr. Ma Peitong, a painter of the Pengcheng School, has tried the creation of "New Han Painting" in depth, and Mr. Yang Shiming suggested that it be named "Pengcheng New Han Painting" and spread it in WeChat. Lu Yushun, president of the National Academy of Painting of China, praised the work of "Pengcheng New Han Painting" when he saw it, and Professor Chen Chuanxi saw the new work of "Pengcheng New Han Painting" and gladly inscribed "Pengcheng New Han Painting".

Pengcheng carved stone painting created a new language for the Pengcheng School, and Pengcheng New Han Painting added new vitality to the Pengcheng School. The praise of President Lu Yushun and the inscription of Professor Chen Chuanxi have sent a huge impetus to the "collective coke ink painting creation" of the Xuzhou Pengcheng School!

For xuzhou's mass ink painting creation, this year's Qingming Festival is a memorable day.

Anything that can be called a good painting must have outstanding characteristics. It is not easy for a painting to have advantages, and it is even more difficult to have characteristics.

Xuzhou painter Ma Peitong's jiaomo paintings are very distinctive. The subjects he chose were Buddhist statues and terracotta warriors of Qin Shi Huang in Angkor Wat, as well as Han paintings unearthed in Xuzhou (mainly terracotta warriors and horses excavated from Han tombs, portrait stones and portrait bricks).

He creates with burnt ink, which seems to be very realistic, but in fact his pen and ink have new creations. The Buddha portraits he painted also used the form and method of sketching, while he used the forms and methods of oracle bones, gold texts, portrait stones and Dunhuang murals as the pen and ink of expression, looking at the dark, bright or gray places of the sketch, but carefully looking at the oracle bone gold text.

Ma Peitong is a native of Xuzhou and is very familiar with and affectionate about the portrait stones of Xuzhou. He not only transformed the content of the portrait stone into the pen and ink of the portrait Buddha, but also had the feeling of the portrait stone in the whole picture, but the painting was a Buddha statue or a human figure. His Jiao Mo pen has strength, toughness, simplicity, deep and majestic, which is not available in the previous jiao mo paintings, so Ma Peitong developed jiao mo painting.

Ma Peitong's jiao ink paintings, also known as Pengcheng carved stone stones. He used pen and ink to draw the feeling of carved stones, which felt particularly similar to the portrait stones of Xuzhou, so it was called Pengcheng carved stone.

Ma Peitong synthesized many ancient and modern Chinese and foreign artists together to make an organic combination and break out a new road. I hope that he will continue to study in depth and create better works.
