As a postdoctoral fellow in molecular biology at The California Institute of Technology and head of the Department of Biochemistry at the School of Medicine of southern university of science and technology, professor Rao Hai refuted Dr. Zhang Wenhong's absurd predictions about the epidemic from a professional point of view, completely peeled off the gorgeous coat draped over Zhang Wenhong's body, and restored his original appearance. Wonderful!
Professor Rao Yi, a famous scientist and dean of Peking University School of Medicine, also recommended the letter written by Professor Rao Hai to Dr. Zhang Wenhong on his personal public account. It shows that in the eyes of professionals, Dr. Zhang's various remarks are really unreliable.
Professor Rao Hai commented on Dr. Zhang Wenhong's prediction of the epidemic: "People who understand biology know that no one can predict the development of the epidemic unless you have communicated with God. Therefore, Dr. Zhang vowed last winter: "2021 will be the last harsh winter of the epidemic response." Such an argument is pure speculation and has no scientific basis at all.
It is a good thing that a person is required to be self-motivated in his career, and it is also a good skill for a person to be good at performing in front of the public. However, if he expresses a serious scientific problem in a way that entertains the public; if he expresses a matter involving a major epidemic in a casual speculative way, I am afraid that this will cause many people to misunderstand and may also cause adverse social effects.
