The Shanghai Tower was designed by Gensler Architects. It blends China's natural environment and cultural heritage, reinterpreting the rich connotation of Shanghai as a traditional city in a vertical form. The unique and beautiful "dragon-shaped" streamlined glass crystals, which inherit traditional culture, also reflect the vigorous vitality of modern China.
The BPI team was deeply involved in this mega project, not only in terms of exterior lighting, but also in the numerous public spaces inside, the sightseeing floor and even the J Hotel inside. It is worth mentioning that in the landscape improvement on both sides of the Huangpu River that began in 2017, bpi has also optimized and upgraded the Shanghai Center, adding a light system to the tower body, so that the Shanghai Center and the city breathe together and increase its charm.
The crown of the tower in Shanghai Center has more than 2,000 square meters of large screens and LED dot matrix lights, and lighting accessories are also installed on the outer walls of the 9 major areas of the building, which can temporarily or permanently set special lighting scenes.
The Shanghai Tower will create 4 types of light shows, corresponding to weekdays, weekends, holidays and special performances. It also echoes the landscape lights of the Puxi Architectural Complex in Pudong, the Bund, and regularly displays landmark light shows. Shenzhen Ping An Financial Center is 599 meters away
Ping An International Finance Center, located in the core area of Futian Commercial District of Shenzhen, invested and constructed by Ping An Life Insurance Co., Ltd. of China, has a height of 600m, consisting of a 118-storey tower and a 9-storey podium, making it the tallest building in Shenzhen.
The design of the project makes extensive use of Chinese elements, such as the use of miter-cut diamond folding at the top of the building, and the accordion folding of the sightseeing platform, like an open folding fan, which is beautiful.
Considering its important role as a landmark building in Shenzhen, the project team based on the "origami" visual effect presented by the building structure, and the building façade lighting adopted the technique of key lighting, shaping it into a landmark totem like a diamond shining; the top lighting of the tower was like moonlight, adding a bit of mystery to the cold building.

Therefore, in the process of lighting implementation, the foreseeable difficulties need to be solved in advance, and the sudden difficulties and needs need to be responded to quickly and solutions proposed.

The overall lighting design tone is clean, three-dimensional, and upward. In the distribution of brightness levels, the crown of the tower is like a lighthouse, which is the part with the highest brightness level; The base of the tower is stable, combined with the interior of the indoor lobby, followed by brightness; The tower body, the contour line is integrated into the surrounding buildings and street environment to the greatest extent, and the brightness is again. Therefore, the brightness distribution of the building façade presents a scientific parabolic change curve. Later, due to the needs of the unified planning of the government in the Shenzhen Bay area, the façade effect was arranged with dynamic patterns to meet the needs of the overall control, which also benefited from the careful and sufficient reservation at the beginning of the design of the lighting scheme eight years ago.

After repeated coordination with architects, curtain wall consultants, mechanical and electrical consultants and owners, we have carried out a large number of computer simulations, office actual model simulations, lamp research, and many sample tests, and finally adopted the way of vertical structure control, the lamps are hidden on the side of the vertical fin, and the size of the slot fully considers the needs of the pipe routing and the needs of lamp installation and angle debugging.

Luminaire design is still difficult. The angle of light output needs to be precise, because it is necessary to illuminate the vertical stainless steel structure 3 meters away but at the same time to control the spilled light entering the room; Another difficulty is to suppress the discomfort caused by physical reflections in the groove, on the glass surface, and on stainless steel. Therefore, the innovative design of the luminaire structure proposes the practice of using a double-layer asymmetrical baffle, and the internal baffle structure and surface material have been specially treated to effectively solve this problem.

The lobby on the first floor, airy, atmospheric, elegant, intertwined with beauty and power. The special structural system makes the interior form a "column-free" space, and the exquisite shapes and modern materials are impressively rendered through lighting.
Lobby spaces are also quite challenging for lighting. The cube core façade and the folded diamond-like ceiling shape is the focus of performance, we do not want to set lamps on the ceiling, destroy the ceiling shape, but to meet the function of the 10 meters or so of the lobby, while showing the characteristics, so we cleverly place the lamps on the side of the curtain wall, in the sloping ceiling edge using a number of adjustable projection lamps, the ceiling and the façade to focus on the creation.
The sky lobby lighting is scientific and orderly, and the lighting is combined with smallpox, illuminating the space at the same time, without affecting people's line of sight through the glass, looking at the beautiful scenery of the sea, lake and garden of Shenzhen Bay.

The main floor and sub-floor of CITIC Plaza are shaped like an eagle flying high with wings outstretched, and the auxiliary building is like its two wings. From the overall point of view, the exterior wall of the main building is surrounded by a glass curtain wall, because of the glass curtain wall, it is not appropriate to use direct light projection, and in order to better reflect the overall spectacular image of CITIC Building, it is first necessary to show its outline. In order to be more vivid and lively, carry out flickering light and dark control, forming flowing water or dynamic ribbons, it was decided to use optical fiber lines to outline the outline of the main building, using the flexible and changeable fiber (multiple colors, gradient characteristics) soft and soft characteristics, so that the image of the main building highlights the spectacular and soft visual effects.
The bottom of the main building and the group building due to the magnificent external wall, can use floodlighting to reflect the top of the main building due to the concave and convex design on the construction façade, therefore, in addition to the use of optical fiber outline, but also the use of local flood lighting, emphasizing the concave and convex hierarchical relationship, so that the outline of the building is clearer, further reflecting the characteristics of the building set spectacular and meticulous and integrated, the external wall of the annex apartment building is mostly made of solid wall and transparent glass, so the light can be directly cast. Guangzhou R&F Yingkai Plaza 296.5 meters
R&F Yingkai Plaza is located on the west side of the central axis of zhujiang New Town CBD, with easy traffic, adjacent to landmark buildings such as R&F Center, Grand Hyatt Guangzhou, Guangzhou International Finance Center, Guangzhou Opera House and New Museum, and connected to Zhujiang New Town Station, the intersection of the underground and double subways.
The project covers an area of 7942 square meters, with a total height of 296.5 meters and a total number of 65 floors, which is a high-end multi-functional comprehensive property built by R&F Real Estate. The project is a flagship project jointly created by the famous American GP firm responsible for the overall architectural design, ARUP, SuperPotato, Steve Leung and many other top international architectural design companies.
R&F Yingkai Plaza is a multi-functional building representing Guangzhou as a first-tier large city. The simple and recognizable form is inspired by the widely distributed bamboo in the area, and the asymmetrical openings and the pulsation of the vertical lines on the curtain wall create a moving visual effect.
The stripes squeeze against each other as they move upwards, and the dense lines of the base enhance the sense of solemnity. Park Hyatt Guangzhou occupies the highest floor of the building, with office buildings below it and subway connections underground.
As the building encapsulates all its functions in such a monolithic form of expression, the design is mainly generated in response to the environment. The square tower volume respects the tough geometric lines of the block grid, helping to form an experimental space in the block that is closely integrated with the periphery.
The converging language of corner carving emphasizes the unique visions of different heights, facing the complex overlooking the street, and extending diagonally to face the nearby central greenery and the Pearl River Delta.
The building is closely related to the urban life of the surrounding people, combining proximity with the experience of a high-end hotel. The design of the hotel's plunge and the orderly arrival of the ground are carefully designed to feature a calming feel through the warm color palette emphasized by the sculpture.
The 60-storey infinity pool is located at one end of the building and overlooks the panoramic Guangzhou skyline. Located on the 70th floor, the iconic rooftop garden also offers a wrap-around view, making it a dining and leisure venue from home.
The lighting concept fully understands the beauty of the architectural form and the tough and atmospheric lines of the diamond cut, interspersed with the appropriate delicacy in the overall effect, as if shining, like the dazzling brilliance revealed by the cracks of the gemstone. It has become an important and elegant stroke in the night memory of Zhujiang New Town.

Chinese Life Financial Center is located in the core of beijing's high-end business office district in Beijing's CBD, surrounded by spectacular modern skyscrapers. The overall design of the building is oriented by temperament and scale, and integrates the high-end, international and modern architectural style into the high-end business environment of the CBD as a whole. As a single-family building, Chinese Financial Center is a commercial building with office buildings as the absolute main product, with a total construction area of about 162,000 square meters, an above-ground area of 120,000 square meters, a building tower height of 180 meters, a total of 39 floors, and a total of 5 floors underground. Designed by architectural design firm SOM, bpi is responsible for lighting design, is Chinese Life's first self-developed and constructed international Grade A office building, and is also a classic project of China Life Investment Company to build a first-class alternative investment platform in China. The east and west façade building body is straight and thin, as the two largest facades of the building area, the outer curtain wall adopts a permeable double-layer inner breathing curtain wall system, using the copper unit structure of the glass curtain wall as a lighting feature element for special lighting design; all lamps are installed between the glass curtain wall and the curtain louver to illuminate each pane.
The top uses a double-layer curtain wall structure for key performance to meet the identification requirements of medium and long-range visual distance. According to different holidays, the DMX512 control system using RGBW can be linked to the entire CBD core area.
The north and south facades combine indoor ceiling, and the lighting from the inside out forms a second-level reflective lamp slot lighting system, which strengthens the longitudinal permeability of the entire building; on Chang'an Avenue at night, it can be clearly seen that the crystal clear glass box is created through the light, which is skillfully combined with modern architectural design.
As a double-layer inner breathing curtain wall that runs through the whole building, the lighting is strictly controlled by the beam angle of the lamp, the overall brightness, and the independent control of each pane, which avoids glare while providing user office comfort, and forms a changeable scene mode to achieve different lighting expressions, so that the building is more agile and more vital at night.
