"Qingqianlong County Chronicle: "Shuifushan Temple, built during the Ming Dynasty". At that time, it was called "Xiaoyingzhou", which means floating island on the water.

Shuifu Temple was originally named "Dongyue Temple", because in the middle of the main hall of the temple is dedicated to a wood-carved gilded Dongyue Emperor (東岳大帝, also known as Taishan God, one of the Chinese folk religious beliefs. Mount Tai is located in the east, is the place where the sun rises, the emperors of the past have great respect for the Emperor of Dongyue, the Tang Dynasty was named "King of Tianqi", the Song Dynasty was named "King of Rensheng Tianqi", "Tianqi RenSheng Saint Emperor", the Yuan Dynasty was crowned "Tianqi Dasheng Ren Shengsheng Ren Sheng", and the Ming Dynasty was restored to dongyue Taishan God). Shuifu Mountain is also located in the east, every day, the sun rises from the top of the temple, Xiangyun Zirui, Dongjing, Lichuan two bridges lie on the Xixi River, the island temple Buddha sound around the beam, incense, presumably this is also the origin of the "Dongyue Temple".
It is said that the former Shuifu Temple had three major halls, the first floor is the Buddha Hall, the main hall hall is dedicated to Dongyue The Great, left and right are Wenchang, Erlang God, Medicine King, Thunder God and other gods and Buddhas, the second floor of the hall in the middle of the plaque reads "Daxiong Treasure Hall" and "Cihang Pudu", the hall is dedicated to Shakyamuni Buddha and eighteen arhats. On the top floor is the Guanyin Hall, where Guanyin Bodhisattva and Bodhisattvas such as Manjushri, Niu Wang, and Guanyin are among them, and the above Buddhas are all fine stone carvings. Shuifu Temple roof ridge flying dragon lying horizontally, angled cornice full mortise, folk commonly known as "octagonal claw", between the main hall and the side hall there are large and small patios, there is also a secret passage of the organ, the lintel on the "Dongyue Temple" three big characters are made of pure gold. In front of the hall, there is a mountain gate next to it, engraved with a yanglian, uplinked "two water floating immortal islands" and lower link "double bridge crossing the sea gate", horizontal batch "water floating mountain", next to the mountain gate there is a wide and a zhang high and more than two zhang of pumice stone, a total of four floors and two sheds, eight square angles, each corner is inverted carved with a monkey, commonly known as "eight monkeys around a table", the top has Wenchang Bodhisattva carving. In front of the temple, there are also large cypress trees on the left and right sides of the temple that can be surrounded by three people, and three old yellow kudzu trees in the east of the temple are shaded by shade, which shades the cool of the temple.
According to Secretary Chen, the old secretary of Shuifushan Village, there was a stone bridge named "Dongjing Bridge" on the left side of the Shuifu Temple, because there was a well on the east side of the bridge, and the well water was very strong for hundreds of villagers around to drink, and there was a wooden bridge (named "Lichuan Bridge") in the south of the bridge, and the wooden bridge had pavilions and pavilions and also enshrined wooden bodhisattvas. It is rumored that there is also a spectacle under the Dongjing Bridge: the river beach in front of the temple is flat, the water flow is pleasant to the ear, but the gentle flow is not more than 100 meters down the luan pond, there are more than a dozen large stones surrounding a high platform, the flow is horizontally rushing up ten feet high, and the fog is filled with sound waves like xianle fluttering. In 1978, after the water level of the National Reservoir was raised, many magnificent scenery along the river was submerged underwater, and the Lichuan Wooden Bridge of Shuifu Temple was demolished, and it is said that the demolished thick herringbone wood was used to build the beams of the auditorium of Gou Kok Commune, and a three-arch stone bridge was restored on the original site after the demolition of the Dongjing Bridge on the other side.

Along the river for the convenience of the people, the MaLiu Bridge Ferry, hong'an Pass and shuifushan ferry were built, and on the ferry, accompanied by the boatman's swaying beat, the river breeze was slight, and the dragon gate array followed the green mountains and clear waters on both sides of the river to the sunset.
Today's Shuifu Temple, which was rebuilt on the old site in 1994, has two attendant Buddhas left over from the old temple, and the carved dragon pillar foundation remains on the side of the temple. A road in front of the temple passes through the stone bridge, and at the stone steps in front of the former hall on the side of the stone bridge, there are old stone lions looking up at the sky, although the broken lion's body is still in full force. Every year on the 28th day of the third month of the lunar calendar is the birthday of Emperor Dongyue, on this day the temple dedicated to Emperor Dongyue will hold a temple fair, and the Dongyue Temple Fair of Shuifu Temple is also famous, and many pilgrims from south to north will rush to Shuifu Temple to burn incense and worship. After the reconstruction of Shuifu Temple, no longer hear of the Dongyue Temple Fair, but on the 15th day of the first month, Guanyin's birthday is still very popular, and pilgrims around Guang'an and Yuechi will go to it without hesitation. During this period, I once went to the first day of the first month, and there were many pilgrims in front of the temple, burning incense, burning paper, releasing life... Ask for all kinds of wishes. I went there, it is really to find mountains and water, before visiting Yuechi, the ancient wind, if I really want to pray, I only wish that the mountains and rivers are beautiful and the world is safe.
