Expo Impressions - Feminism and Equal Rights

author:Great beauty

I inadvertently saw Vanke founder Wang Shi visit the women's pavilion at the Dubai World Expo. So I also deliberately went to queue up for an hour and a half to visit this exhibition hall. Women's rights have always been one of the main excuses for the Islamic world to be pressed to the ground by Western countries. Yet the experience of life in the Middle East for nearly a decade has taught me that the Islamic world is now vast and conservative precisely because of how advanced and powerful its history is. The following is the evidence recorded in the pavilion:

  • Better Half the Sky:

There is a saying in the Arab world that women can hold up half the sky (we say exactly the same). Illustrate the importance of women in society in the ancient Islamic faith. At a time when other civilizations treat women like second-class citizens, women in the Islamic world are already playing roles as leaders, judges, and warriors. At present, the Islamic Council has been focusing on the development of women, giving priority to women's issues through different organizations and activities.

Changing mindset:

Equality is the abandonment of prejudice and the fair respect for every thought without thinking.

Masculinism is only strong if it is right and with love.

Modern and traditional can be balanced.

In this world, everyone has equal rights. By embracing our differences, we move forward together on the premise of equality.

Water and gender equality:

Water is the source of sanitation, health and life. Millions of women invest a lot of time and effort into accessing water. Imagine what their lives would be like if this part of their time could be liberated.

Education - Unleashing Women's Potential:

Education is the only most critical solution. Through education, girls will have more choices:

They will choose a path that they can not be forced into marriage too early.

They will discover a path of economic independence and healthier life.

They will be prepared for a better future. After becoming a mother, you can provide a good education for your daughter.

Equality is the essence:

The essence of feminism is equal rights. Affirmative action is also good for men, freeing them from the burden of machismo culture.

To liberate women, we must first liberate men:

At the time of the 38th festival of this year, I happened to read a similar point of view. In fact, men under Confucian culture live both depressed and hard, calling on Chinese men to give women more space and freedom to develop, and to return to the family. To liberate women, we must first liberate men. After living abroad for a long time, you will find that the personality of men under Confucian culture, excessive emphasis on kings and subjects, fathers and sons, emphasis on family and responsibility, lack of frankness and freedom in human nature. The personality of men under Confucian culture is almost the least favorite personality of women around the world. This shows how serious the harm of Confucian culture to men is.

Women also have to liberate themselves:

Growing up in a traditional and conservative culture, the feeling as a child was that most women could not participate in the work. Or you can do something "decent" work. After graduating from college, I heard the legend of female welders in the company, and I thought I had learned it. Later, I went to Guangxi and saw half of the female reinforcement workers on the construction site. It made me more and more convinced that women can not only do it, but they can do almost any job well. The culture of women who pretend to be weak is toxic. Discrimination against women varies around the world, but almost all of them are the same. Under the slogan of protecting women, women's choices (thoughts, life and work) are restricted through taboos, and small favors are given, and the purpose of exploiting women is ultimately achieved. Women need to abandon the mentality of taking advantage of material things, which will come at a heavy cost for a lifetime. However, it is said that women have a natural desire for substances in their genes in order to raise their offspring. If so, at least try to give up some of your material pursuits and leave more room for freedom, equality, and love.

Affirmative Action - How Long Does It Take? :

It should definitely be a long process. You know, more than 2,000 years ago, when ancient Greece created the idea of democracy and equality. Women and slaves are not included here. When the Republic of China gave women the right to vote, women in some developed countries in Western Europe still did not have the right to vote. It wasn't even in the 1950s that Belgium granted women the right to vote. Affirmative action is also a modern concept. I don't think even now East Asian culture has figured out what feminism really is. South Korea has recently turned back and gone in the direction of anti-feminism. South Korean men believe that in today's era of male pressure, most women involved in the feminist movement only want to get more, not give up. Feminism does not exist, and the essence of feminism is equal rights. It is a win-win process of getting and giving up parallel long-term continuous improvement.
