Arsenal want to buy a former Chelsea player, is there something wrong?

According to French media reports, Arsenal have met with representatives of Hazard to discuss the possibility of a loan.

The 31-year-old, whose contract with Real Madrid expires in 2024, has played just 877 minutes this season, contributing 1 goal and 2 assists.

He is currently sidelined due to a fibular fracture and has only made seven starts in La Liga this season.

He had a great time at Chelsea, but his performance after moving to Real Madrid for £103.5 million in 2019 did not live up to expectations.

Hazard scored 110 goals and 92 assists in 352 games for the Blues (averaging one goal or assist in every 1.7 games), while playing 65 games for Real Madrid, with only 6 goals and 10 assists (one goal or assist per 4 games).

He is currently worth £14m and has allegedly no intention of leaving Real Madrid.

Real Betis has already made a statement to Bellerin that he wants him to stay on loan.

ABC de Sevilla reported that Betis had reached out to Belain's representatives to express his willingness to let him stay, and that his loan contract would expire on June 30.

Bellerin had a great season at Betis, with Sevilla media saying his current form even allowed him to knock on the door of the Spanish national team.

Betis wants to sign him on a permanent transfer contract but needs to convince Arsenal to release him. The right-back has a one-year contract with the Gunners and for Betis, Arsenal are considered a bigger obstacle to transfer than the player himself.

But if Betis offers a reasonable offer, Arsenal should be open to selling players.

It makes sense to get some transfer fees from a player who can't start under Arteta, and it can also give players a fresh start.

Arsenal, on the other hand, may want to use Bellerin's good performances to win the interest of other teams, thus setting off an offer war.

The 27-year-old has made 28 appearances this season, contributing four assists to help Betis reach the Copa del Rey final, the Europa League round of 16 and finish 5th in La Liga.

Whatever happens next, ending the season with a title or European qualification is a positive factor for Betis and Bellerin.
