Artist Marcel Marlier - The Adventures of Happy Marusia

Artist Marcel Marlier was born in 1930 in a small Belgian town. He began painting from an early age, and after graduating from high school, he graduated from university (Department of Decorative Arts) and began working as a painting teacher at the school in his hometown.

In 1951, an extraordinary event that completely changed the fate of the artist took place – Marcel Marlière won a competition held by a major European publishing house and, as the winner of the competition, was given a job as an illustrator at the publishing house.

Marcel Mariel worked for many years at the publishing house, creating illustrations for hundreds of books, and a series of books about the cheerful girl Martina was translated into dozens of languages in the world and entered the world library.

All of the artist's work, after his death in 2011, was collected on the album.
