Japanese katakana and Hiragana use different symbols, but are pronounced the same

There are three different scripts in Japanese: Hiragana, Katakana, and Kanji. Hiragana was created from the cursive writing of kanji, while katakana was created by the side of kanji. Katakana is mainly used to write foreign words, and is sometimes used for emphasis, and it acts like bold or italics.

Katakana and Hiragana use different symbols, but pronounce the same. Do you know how イカ reads? It means squid.
