Folk music concerts are common, and folk music concerts conducted by two big-name symphony conductors on the same stage can be described as rare. On the evening of April 8th, the Concert Hall of the National Centre for the Performing Arts was full, and the Central Chinese Orchestra joined hands with Li Xincao, director and chief conductor of the China Symphony Orchestra, Lu Jia, artistic director of the Music and Art Of the National Centre for the Performing Arts, and Liu Sha, chief conductor of the Central Chinese Orchestra, to open the magnificent prelude to the first "Spring of Chinese Music" of the National Centre for the Performing Arts. After 14 years of successful holding of the "Symphonic Spring" at the National Centre for the Performing Arts, the artistic brand "Spring of Chinese Music" came into being. It is worth mentioning that the construction of the whole concert with large-scale national orchestral orchestra is not only a test of the quality, skill and cooperation of the orchestra, but also a highly difficult challenge to the artistic standard of conducting. In this concert, the Central Chinese Orchestra selected the most representative repertoire in the field of ethnic music in recent years, all of which were presented in the form of an orchestra.

Lü Jia's song "Yunshan Yanmiao" kicked off the concert. With the baton, this composer Wang Danhong's famous work brought the audience to the han and Tang dynasties, and the tune with the legacy of the Han and Tang dynasties combined with the grandeur and atmospheric beauty of Chaozhou music; then, the second movement of "Ode to the Sun", "Picking the Mountain", was played in the concert hall, the scene was full of rich Bayu style, the deep emotion and majestic momentum of the music infected every audience; the "Autumn River Moon Night" composed by Hao Wei, a composer commissioned by the Central Chinese Orchestra, brought the audience to the quiet night of the moonlight like water. Each musical note is interpreting the aesthetic and charming artistic conception of Chinese music. Under the command of Lü Jia, the three works were exhibited with new charms and surprised the audience.

Subsequently, a sonorous and powerful "General's Order" began with a mighty opening under the command of Liu Sha. Liu Sha chose this piece of music, intended to show the chinese music spring day has arrived, just in time to prosper the spirit, this piece originated from the pipa playing ancient music under the direction of Liu Sha more infectious and expressive; next, the composer Luo Maishuo's work "Yin Chan Beauty Figure" unfolded on the stage like a poetic painting, the music will be beautiful into the painting, with a beautiful melody to create a visual and auditory sense between the sound and painting, a song is played, applause in the afterglow of the music, for a long time can not be calmed.

When Li Xincao drew an arc of the baton in the air, the opening song "National Wind" in the second half of the concert brought a different shock to the audience. "National Style" is a work created by Zhao Jiping, a composer specially commissioned by the Central Chinese Orchestra, and is frequently performed on the stage of national orchestra concerts at home and abroad. Under the direction of Li Xincao, the musicians of the Central Chinese Orchestra have played "National Style" countless times, but it has a different charm from the past, whether it is acoustic effects or musical personality, the Chinese style bones and national spirit contained in this piece can be more clearly transmitted to the audience.

Since then, composer Jiang Ying's "Silk Road" has been played majestically, leading the audience to the vast Gobi illuminated by golden light, following Li Xincao's baton, and the orchestra has brought the performance, timbre characteristics and playing techniques of national instrumental music to the extreme. After the two pieces were played, the audience's unfinished thoughts also turned into applause and cheers, which reverberated in the concert hall for a long time. The concert ended with the beautiful melody of the first movement of composer Zhang Chao's "The Sum of The Seven Colors", "The Song of Green Wind". In the applause and applause of the audience, the three conductors returned to the scene one by one, bringing the audience three works of "Black Horse", "Lightning Polka" and "Flower Good Moon".

The first two conductors of the rehearsal "have no bottom in their hearts"

Although they are both top conductors in the Chinese symphony industry, before rehearsing with the Central Chinese Orchestra, Li Xincao, who conducted folk music for the first time, and Lu Jia were in a similar mood – Li Xincao said that he had "no bottom in his heart", and Lu Jia described himself as "nervous". After the rehearsal, Li Xincao bluntly said that he "relaxed a lot", and Lu Jia, who loved to cut details at the rehearsal scene, frequently used "very good" to praise the performers of the "folk music national team".

The arrangement of orchestral scores, the placement of orchestras and The Western symphony are very different, which was the biggest concern of the two conductors at the beginning. However, when a first-class conductor meets a first-class orchestra, it can quickly collide with sparks. As Li Xincao said, music is connected. At the rehearsal scene, Li Xincao repeatedly emphasized a point: "The two tones cannot be inexplicably connected, there must be syntax, and it is necessary to complete one sentence to pick up the following sentences, whether it is Western symphony or Chinese national orchestra, the requirements of syntax and musical character are the same." Lu Jia constantly adjusted the details during the rehearsal, such as asking the musicians to improve their speed when playing "Yun shan Yan Miao". Lu Jia said: "The reaction and adjustment of the performers were very fast, and the final result of the short morning rehearsal was very good. ”

For the performers of the Central Chinese Orchestra, cooperating with the symphony conductor is different from the usual playing method, and it is also a new process of enjoyment and thinking. Jin Yue, chief of the Central Chinese Orchestra Band, said: "The two conductors' treatment of the lines and details of the music brings different feelings to everyone, and the tension is very strong, so the famous conductor should often come to the Central Chinese Orchestra, everyone plays music together, bringing the audience different wonderful." ”
