2) Materials. There are four main types of plastic materials for toilet lids. Urea formaldehyde resin, PP, ABS, PVC.
- ①PP。 PP material is the first to appear, the advantage is that the material is cheap and easy to process. But its aging resistance is not good, with 2, 3 years on the aging is very bad, in addition to the material is soft, scratch resistance is not good.
- (2) Urea-formaldehyde resin. Urea-formaldehyde resin is very special in plastic, it does not belong to thermoplastic resin, is a thermosetting resin, is a polymer reacting with formaldehyde, high strength, oil resistance, scratch resistance is very good. However, its disadvantages are inconvenient processing, high cost, poor toughness, brittleness, poor dyeability, and not environmentally friendly, so ABS was launched.
- (3) ABS resin. ABS is characterized by convenient processing, good environmental friendliness and moderate strength, but the scratch resistance is not as good as urea-formaldehyde resin.
- (4) PVC resin. PVC resin in the plastic material processability is not good, but the price is low, while good dyeing can be transferred out of a variety of patterns, low price is also the outstanding feature of PVC toilet cover. The disadvantages of this kind of toilet lid are soft, environmentally friendly, and poor scratch resistance.
In general, in the field of toilet lids, urea-formaldehyde resin is the highest grade, ABS is second, pp and PVC are at the bottom.
In terms of price, the price of PP is about 8 ~ ~ 13 yuan / kg; urea-formaldehyde resin is about 5 ~ ~ 8 yuan / kg; ABS is about 12 ~ ~ 18 yuan / kg; PVC is about 6 ~ ~ 8 yuan / kg.
However, products that are not very high-grade often do not use raw materials, which will lead to low material prices, which is also a reasonable means for manufacturers to make profits.
3) Mold. Molds are also necessary for making toilet lids. However, in recent years, China's mold industry tends to be saturated, resulting in high mold prices. Compared with the original tall mobile phone mold from more than 10 years ago 20 ~ ~ 500,000 / set to the current 4 ~ ~ 80,000 / set, the price of the toilet lid mold on the not very tall can also be imagined, about 20 ~ ~ 400,000 / set.
Toilet lid mold requires high brightness, so the mold core material requirements are good, but the product shape is simple, the mold processing is easy, the cost of labor is low, if it is a low-grade toilet cover on the polishing effect requirements, this type of mold is mainly to sell an iron money.
The production process is very simple, basically based on the injection molding process (urea-formaldehyde resin is die-casting), and then a small number of products have post-processing such as printing and transfer to increase the visual effect of the surface.
The quality difficulty of toilet lid products is mainly the appearance, and the assembly indicators are generally required. In addition, its strength and antibacterial properties belong to the design category, and have little to do with production.
The appearance quality of the toilet lid is very torturous in production. Many defects in injection molding production, including rhein lines, poor melting, black spots, black lines, color difference, burnt, etc. may occur, high-grade toilet lids are not allowed to appear 3 * 0.08mm black spots, so the production environment and investment of high-end products are very large, but also raise the price.
I have been engaged in injection molding work for more than 20 years, and I deeply understand that the defect rate of most injection molding products remains high, and in the later stage, it is mainly the color difference and black spots mentioned above, which is very prominent in the field of bathroom.
