Zhao Huiqiu, a well-known Peking Opera performance artist, a disciple of Rong Diexian, Li Lingfeng and Mr. Xun Huisheng, died of illness in Tianjin on April 7, 2022 at the age of 94.
Zhao Huiqiu learned drama since childhood, and she has comprehensively inherited the xun school of performing arts, representative works such as "Red Lady".
Zhao Huiqiu is kind and modest, and she patiently teaches young actors and fans who come to seek advice, no matter what artistic field she is involved in, she can be recognized by everyone.
Since the mid-1980s, Zhao Huiqiu began to fade out of the stage and worked on the Tianjin Art Advisory Committee. At the same time, she has always been close to the stage, immersed in the study of art, carefully cultivated new talents, and made great contributions to the inheritance and development of the Xun School and even the art of Peking Opera. Zhao Huiqiu once said: "I hope to inherit and develop Peking Opera, including the Xun school of art, from the people to the people, and I will teach as much as I know." Peking Opera is my destiny! ”
