In this sceneless drama, taking the villagers' collective "petition" to the township government and asking Liu Guozhong to be re-elected as the village party secretary as a clue, and using typical events such as Liu Guozhong's former life to solve the problem of electricity difficulties for the villagers, solve the problem of irrigation water in the village, encourage and guide the villagers to plant cash crops and build village kindergartens, the scene of Liu Guozhong's life in leading the masses to get rid of poverty and become rich is presented in a panoramic way, and vividly shows the "Poplar Spirit" of the Chinese Communists represented by Liu Guozhong who work hard, make unremitting efforts to improve themselves, take root in the frontier, and are willing to dedicate. In order to present this good cadre who is rooted in Xinjiang and loves Xinjiang, screenwriter Li Longyin went to Kekdun Village twice to collect style, and screenwriter Chen Siqing stayed in the village for 60 days. They ate, lived and worked with the villagers, and experienced and excavated the details in the fields and at the homes of their fellow villagers.
