Biography
Today, I would like to introduce Hou Lei, an outstanding ice hockey coach of Epo Martial Arts School. Hou Lei, born in December 1999 in Hohhot, Inner Mongolia, came to Epo Wushu School in 2011 to learn literature and martial arts, took up his post as a coach on April 7, 2017, during which he won the title of "Advanced Worker" of the school for many times; led the class students to win the first prize of the school games team for many times; on October 25, 2021, he led the school ice hockey team U10 group to win the Henan Provincial Roller Skating Championship; on December 12, 2021, he led the school ice hockey team U12 group to win the Henan Province "Ice and Snow, Winter Olympics" in Henan Province. Winner of the National Ice Dream Season Roller Skating Open.

The successful bid for the Beijing Winter Olympics has brought new opportunities for the development of Chinese ice hockey. In May 2019, after Epo Wu School received the notice of Beiti University on the training of ice hockey reserve talents, the school leaders attached great importance to the cultivation of ice hockey project talents, and Coach Hou Lei took the initiative to sign up for the first time to join the ice hockey project team.
From the day he came into contact with the ice hockey project, he was full of interest in this challenging project, and he knew the truth that "if you want to do a good job, you must first use it". In order to further improve himself, he studied hard, constantly learned new knowledge, explored the teaching mode of ice hockey, improved teaching methods, and improved the professional level of students. On the training ground, he is a conscientious coach.

In May 2021, after the recommendation of the school leaders, Hou Lei became the best person to participate in the filming of the henan city channel ice hockey documentary. During the filming, coach Hou Lei personally led the students to freeze the ice in order to let the students experience the joy of ice, and due to the weather, they finally failed to freeze the ice successfully, but the children were still unfinished, and their words were full of expectations and love for the ice. At the beginning of 2022, with the strong support of the school, Hou Lei led the students to complete the wish of going to the ice in Harbin, so that the children felt the charm of ice and snow for the first time.
Caring for students
During the filming on the ice, one of the students he led made a mistake and the school asked the student to go home and reflect. In order to solve the contradictions in the hearts of the students, Coach Hou Lei personally sent the student home, deeply understood the student's family situation, looked for the crux of the child's problems, discussed educational methods with parents, and patiently listened to parents' opinions and suggestions. Through the joint efforts of parents and coaches, the student quickly realized his mistake and returned to school smoothly. This move not only gained the understanding and support of parents for the school and the coach, but also deepened the feelings between the coach and the parents.
