Even if the Taiwan authorities spent $62 billion when they bought 66 F-16 fighters from the United States, while Japan spent only $23.1 billion when they bought 105 F-35 fighters from the United States, the Taiwan authorities spent the most money, and buying a small number of fighters with poor performance is not a big wrongdoer. However, when the Taiwan authorities purchased arms from the United States, what they bought was not weapons and equipment, but a gimmick of public opinion and a topic of hype.
If the Taiwan authorities are simply for the purpose of purchasing military equipment, it is better not to procure them; as the saying goes, it is necessary to be hard to strike iron, the Taiwan authorities themselves have poor strength, and few Taiwan troops dare to go to the battlefield, so even if they buy more weapons, they cannot change the gap between them and the PLA.

To put it bluntly, although the real purpose is this, the "Patriot 3" system of the US arms sale should not be underestimated, and the "Patriot-3" missile program is one of the key developments listed by the United States, which can fight independently or in conjunction with other interceptor bombs. Speaking of this, some people may say, then why do the Taiwan authorities not develop it themselves, but instead buy it with the United States?
