It was the worst-case scenario for Jahvon Quinerly and his knee injury. University of Alabama head coach Nate Oats confirmed that Quinali tore the ACL in the first round of the NCAA Tournament against the University of Notre Dame.

Given the decisions that Quinali had to make, that was big news. He could choose to return to the University of Alabama for another year or try to run in the 2022 NBA Draft, a decision that could be influenced by an ACL tear injury.
Quinali spent the best year of his four-year college career in 2021-2022. The redshirts averaged 13.8 points and 4.2 rebounds per game in their junior season, helping the University of Alabama into a crazy March, but in the first round against the University of Notre Dame, he only played three minutes before he injured his knee, causing the team to be eliminated in the first round.
Quinali didn't appear on any of the mock draft prediction lists before his injury, but said he would "test the waters" to see what would happen. Given his injuries, it's unclear what his next move will be.
