Arsenal are interested in West African football academy's 18-year-old defender Henri Ovarry, but it looks like they lost to Manchester City in the competition and the Blue Moon plan to loan him to Toulouse in Ligue 1.

After two years of scouting for the players, the City collective is believed to have begun work on the centre-back's transfer, which will cost around £840,000 (€1 million).

Ovary, currently worth £23,000, has made eight appearances in Ghana's top flight this season. In the 20-21 season, the 16-year-old was promoted to the first team of the West African Football Academy.

Arsenal's current manager Arteta was still working for the Blue Moon when City began to focus on the defender, and he may have known the youngster at the time.

City are said to be awaiting a letter of clarification from FIFA to complete the deal.

There are a number of reasons behind his immediate loan to Manchester City's sister club Toulouse, but the main one is the FA's player qualification criteria. Their strict scoring system keeps Ovari from playing in England at the moment.

After being injured in training, Arsenal's player Aquinola on loan to Dundee United could be reimbursed for the season.

Arsenal midfielder Tim Aquinola, one of the youngsters who started his first loan trip this season, joined Dundee United in the winter window.

But things aren't going well at the moment, with Aquinola making only one appearance, starting against Johnstone in early February.

For two months, he has mostly come off the bench and recently sadly got injured on the training ground. Dundee United manager Tam Courts confirmed the 20-year-old has returned to Arsenal to heal his injuries.

It was a disappointing ending for Aquinola, who had a good start to the season. While playing for Arsenal U23, Aquinola was part of the team's strong midfield, helping Kevin Betsy's side to become a strong contender for the Premier League reserve league title.

Many of the players in that team were loaned out, and Aquinola was one of them, which was a good thing for them. But the former Ha Town youngster did not have a smooth life at Dundee United.

If the season is reimbursed, Aquinola will be thinking with Arsenal about his future after the summer window.
