On the eve of the arrival of World Autism Awareness Day on April 2, I visited and studied at Dongxin Center on March 28 after participating in the charity sale held by Dalian Dongxin Special Children's Service Center and other units.

Founded in August 2016, this center is a private non-enterprise unit, which is a comprehensive rehabilitation training institution integrating a series of services such as cultural learning, artistic expertise, life, treatment, rehabilitation, health care, entertainment, and professional evaluation. Since the establishment of the center, more than 500 people with autism disorder have received rehabilitation education and training.
The center has a large sensory training hall, ABA training room, music and dance classroom, multi-functional media classroom, teaching and research room, children's picture book reading room, canteen and other teaching resources, of which the children's picture book reading room contains more than 2,000 children's classic picture books for borrowing.
The teachers of the center are all college degrees or above, graduated from special education, psychology, preschool education, teacher education and other majors, and have rich teaching experience in speech correction, language cognition rehabilitation training, PT sports and sensory integration training, and have studied and trained in well-known special education institutions such as Beijing and Shanghai.
According to different service targets, the center provides parent-child classes (for children aged 1.5-2.5 and their parents), kindergarten classes (children aged 2-3 years), mixed-age classes (children aged 3-5 years), preschool art specialty classes (special children aged 5-6 years old, preparatory classes for kindergartens and primary schools), health care and integration classes (special children aged 2-16 who can take care of themselves), caring care classes (children aged 6-12 years old), and full-time training courses for older daily living skills (special people over 16 years old).
Since its inception, the center has been praised by all sectors of society for its large scale, convenient transportation, beautiful environment, perfect facilities, standardized management and professional services.
Cheng Yuzhu, director of the center who has studied special education and has a lot of love for people with autism disorders, said that our center is a designated rehabilitation institution of Dalian Disabled Persons' Federation, and has purchased services as a rehabilitation institution for Dalian Civil Affairs Bureau for two consecutive years. We must continue to work hard to make the center better so that the vast number of people with autism disorder can be recovered to varying degrees.
