On the afternoon of March 28, the Medical Office held a seminar on key deaths in the hospital in February in the lecture hall on the tenth floor of the outpatient building, Vice President Liu Lige attended the meeting, nearly 30 directors of departments, doctors and heads of functional departments of the Headquarters and the West Branch attended the meeting, and Ma Xue, deputy director of the Medical Department, presided over the meeting.
Before the meeting, in accordance with the death case management system, the Medical Affairs Department, in coordination with the Quality Control and Evaluation Office, the Department of Cases and the Quality Controller of the Clinical Department, discussed the deaths in the hospital in February 2022, and selected 3 cases to submit to the hospital-level death case seminar.
At the meeting, first of all, Hu Xiaoxing, the surgical commissioner of the Medical Affairs Department, reported the data of the death cases of the whole hospital in February, and the doctors and department directors involved reported on the case situation of the department; then, the directors of the internal and surgical teaching and research departments commented; subsequently, the directors of the clinical departments attending the meeting exchanged and discussed extensively on the causes of death of patients, the choice of surgical indications, and the lessons to be learned, and put forward targeted guidance. The Department of Medical Records and the Department of Pharmacy commented on the rational and standardized use of medical records, homepage filling, and related drugs.
Liu Lige pointed out in his concluding speech that the discussion of death cases is an important starting point for improving the diagnosis and treatment link, standardizing medical behavior, and improving the quality of medical treatment, and the medical staff of the whole hospital should attach great importance to it, form a monthly discussion system, examine the diagnosis and treatment process through critical thinking, find loopholes, improve the medical process in a timely manner, and ensure patient safety to the greatest extent.
