Amy Sol (Amy Xue) is a korean native, lives and works in the United States, and is a freelance artist. A self-taught artist who studied animation at university, from animation to decorative design to shelf painting, sculpture, and even graffiti art, Amy Sol presents her surreal dream world to the audience in different art forms. It is inspired by comics, street art, vintage illustration and modern design.
Her work has a stunning colour and excels at using acrylic to create a series of illustrations on wooden panels depicting the story of a little girl and her animal companions. From her illustrations, you can also see the fusion of comics, folk art, traditional and modern illustrations.
Amy's sculptural works are very spiritual, giving a strong sense of quiet, allowing the viewer to gradually withdraw from the noisy and disturbing world and enter a new realm of tranquility and contemplation.
All of Amy Sol's stereoscopic works are made by herself. The sculpture perfectly restores the artist's painting style, bringing the soft texture and fantasy elements of her works to the three-dimensional world.
