The $2 million Qatar Masters ended the final battle at the Doha Golf Club, with Scottish golfer Evan Ferguson shooting a 70 (-2) in the final round to win the title with a total score of 281 (-7) to win the first DP World Tour title of his career.
Pre-tournament world no. 311 Ferguson was three shots behind the 54-hole tie leader (England's Matthew Jordan and Polish Adrian Merunk) in the final round of the Qatar Masters, but Jordan and Merong both slipped on the first nine holes, while Ferguson seized the opportunity to win two birdies on the back nine and an eagle on the 16th hole to shoot 70 (-2) to reverse the title with a total of 281.
American Chase Hanna, in Ferguson's group, shot a 71 (-1) to finish second with a total of 282 (-6). Sweden's Marcus Kinholt and Merunk shot 71 and 75 respectively to tie for 3rd place with a total score of 283 (-5).
China's Wu Ashun grabbed a birdie in the final round, swallowed a bogey and a double bogey, shot 74 (+2), and tied for 49th with a total score of 290 (+2).
