Czech company EXCALIBUR ARMY officially launched its latest "DITA" wheeled self-propelled gun, which adopts the Tatra8X8 wheeled chassis and newly developed turret, with a high degree of automation, in the co-pilot position can operate the unmanned turret to complete all the release, aiming, shooting and withdrawal actions.
The DITA Self-Propelled Howitzer Is a New Modern Artillery Weapon using NATO 155 mm standard ammunition. Its design stemmed from the original Tatra vehicle-mounted howitzer concept in Czechoslovakia, but the DITA self-propelled howitzer took the autonomy of operation to a new level.
The DITA self-propelled gun can operate the entire vehicle quickly to complete the required actions by adopting a modern on-board control system, and the gun commander sitting in the co-pilot position can quickly complete the required actions through a touch screen and a few simple buttons.
The high and low firing direction and horizontal firing direction of the gun are adjusted extremely quickly, the advanced and reliable automatic loading system provides an unprecedented rate of fire for the DITA self-propelled gun, and the entire unmanned turret is set on the 8 * 8 chassis as a completely autonomous superstructure, so the turret can also be directly mounted on the tracked chassis. The high-powered 8*8 chassis ensured that the DITA self-propelled gun was able to overcome the harsh road conditions and terrain on the battlefield.
